The Elemental Four

What's that noise?

About thirty minutes later they met up with their bikes. They biked across the city and into the forest. The forest was fairly large for the size of the city they lived in. It would be easy to get lost but luckily they made a path a few years ago.

"Don't you just love nature?" Sofia asked.

Sofia always loved nature ever since she was a child. She was the one that introduced biking in the forest to the group.

"I would if all these mosquitoes weren't swarming me." Christina said.

"Did you not bring the bug spray?" Christopher asked.

"I thought since it was a little cold today it wouldn't be that bad." Christina said.

"Your mistake not mine." Christopher said.

They biked further than they ever had before just for the sake of exploration and curiosity. A little while later they heard a weird high pitched noise.

"Do you hear that?" Brian asked.

"Yeah, I do." Sofia said.

"What is that?" Christina began to wonder.

They began biking really fast toward the noise. After about four minutes they noticed the sound getting softer.

"The sound is going away." Brian said.

"Dang." Christopher said.

" Wait, maybe the sound isn't going away. Maybe we are going away from the sound." Christina said.

"Let's go back the way we came." Sofia suggested.

They turned around and went back the way they came. They realized Christina's accusation was correct as the sound got loud again. Then they found the loudest spot slightly on the left of the path. They set their bikes down and investigated.

"I think we are above it." Christina said.

"It's underground?" Christopher wondered.

"We should get shovels." Brian said.

"Ok let's go then" Christopher agreed.

"Wait I think two of us should stay here so we know where it is." Sofia suggested.

"Chris and I have shovels at out house." Christina said.

"Ok we'll go get the shovels, make sure you stay here." Christopher told them.

"Be back soon." Brian said.

It was about a forty-five minute bike to their house and back. They got to their house and they told their mom they are gonna have a sleepover at Sofia's. Their mom agreed. They got the shovels, left the house and continued back into the forest.

"Ok, we got the shovels." Christopher said.

When they got there, there was a fairly big hole dug already. Brian had dug it with a stick.

"Jesus Brian you really wanna see what's in there do you?" Christina said.

"Ok let's start digging." Christopher said.

"It's getting kinda late, don't you think we should pick this up tomorrow?" Sofia said.

"Wait I said we were gonna spend the night at your house so we can stay out here longer." Christina said.

"Oh that's actually a good idea let's just say we are going to stay at each other's houses." Brian said.

"What happens if my dad finds out?" Sofia said.

"That's not likely Sofia, I think we should do it." Christopher said.

"Ok." she said thinking of her dad grounding her.

Then both Sofia and Brian called their dads telling them they are going to stay at Christina and Christopher's house for a sleepover. Both dads said yes and the plan went perfectly. Now they just have to figure whose house they are actually going to stay at.

"Ok let's start digging now." Brian said.

They start digging and it took about twenty minutes but they start clicking there shovels at something hard. They dig a little more and they see something glowing an off-white color.
