I Think We Have Powers

"What the heck is that?" Sofia said with an astonished look on her face.

"I have no clue." Christopher said.

They all had a face as if they were in awe. They proceeded to dig all around the glowing thing. The noise was even louder than before. It took a while but they finally dug it out. It seemed to be a glowing rock. The rock was really heavy but all four of them worked together to get rock out of the ground and onto the land. The rock was the size of a small boulder, about a half a meter tall and three quarters of a meter wide. They were feeling a little woozy while digging it but now that the rock is fully out of the ground they are feeling really dizzy, on the verge of passing out.

"I feel really dizzy." Brian said.

"Yeah I do too." Christina said.

"You think it's because of this rock?" Sofia asked.

After she asked that question Christopher passed out after blood started to pour out of his nose.

"Oh my god Christopher are you ok?! Your nose is bleeding a lot!" Christina exclaimed.

Just then Christina and Brian's noses started to bleed as well. And a few seconds later they both passed out too.

"Christina, Brian, Chris! Oh god, what's happening?" Sofia said deeply in panic.

Then Sofia's sight began to blacken as blood flowed out of her nose. It was as if time slowed as she fell toward the ground. They laid there for hours. And when they woke up something happened to them that they never thought was possible.

"Nngh what happened?" Christopher asked as he awoke.

Christopher looked down and his hand were on fire. He started to freak out as he waved his hands around.

"Christina wake up! My hands are on fire!" Christopher screamed as his hands burned.

"Ugh what Chris what's going on?" Christina said as the fire spread across Christopher's body.

"Oh my god Chris you're on fire!" she said just after she saw his arms in flames.

"I'm are on fire, but actually it doesn't hurt." Christopher said a little confused.

Just as Sofia woke up the fire on Christopher shrank until it only covered his thumb.

"What was that? Did you do that?" Sofia asked beyond confusion.

"I think I did that. I mean, I was thinking about what I wanted it to do and it did it." Christopher said.

Then Brian woke up and everyone looked at him in confusion. There were rocks floating all around him. Everywhere he stepped a rocks started to rise.

"Huh, am I seeing things?" Brian said.

"Ok this is really weird." Christina said.

"This might sound crazy but I think we have powers." Christopher said followed by a long pause.

"Powers like what?" Sofia asked.

"Well I just created and controlled fire so I must have pyrokinesis which is the power to manipulate fire." Christopher said as he demonstrated his fire ability.

"Brian here just made rocks float off the ground so he must have geokinesis and that is the power to create and control earth." Christopher added.

"Chris you read too many comics. This is real life not a fictional graphic novel about superheroes." Christina said.

"Yeah that's just not possible." Sofia agreed.

"I mean it makes since." Brian said.

"Even if that's true why hasn't Sofia and I found our powers yet?" Christina asked.

"Maybe you just have to try a little harder to find your power." Christopher said.

"Ok this is all silly." Christina said all she rolled her eyes.

"Come on Christina let's try it." Sofia said.

"Ok but if your wrong then I'll never call you smart again." Christina said.

Then Christina and Sofia tried and tried to use their unknown powers. Just as Sofia began to lose hope winds shot out her hands so fast it broke four trees.

"Jesus Sofia." Christina said as Sofia smiled at her hands.

"Wind. Sofia has aerokinesis which is the power to create and control winds and air." Christopher explained.

"Why haven't I found my power yet?" Christina asked in jealousy.

"Just keep trying you might still have one." Brian said.

"No, let's just go home." Christina said feeling disappointed.

"We can't go home yet we need to figure out these powers." Sofia said.

"Just try one more time Christina." Brian said.

"Ugh fine." Christina said in complete hopelessness.

She tried one last time and a huge mass of water showed up above them about five people big.

"Wow you have water powers." Sofia said looking up in amazement.

"More specifically hydrokinesis, the power to create and manipulate water." Christopher nerdishly added.

"See I told you, you had powers." Brian said to a smiling Christina.

They all agreed to practice controlling their powers. It was about 5am and they had until 10am until they have to go home.

"Let's have a competition." Christopher suggested.

"Ok I'd love to beat you." Brian said.

"Here they go again." Sofia snickered.

"Let's see who can destroy a tree more." Christopher said.

"Ok let's do it." Brian accepted.

Christopher blasted the tree in front of him until there was nothing there but a burnt stump. Brian picked up the land under the tree, turned it upside down and slammed it into the ground. The tree was as good as gone.

"That was cheating." Christopher said angrily.

"Nah just admit you lost." Brian said while leaning on a tree.

That statement really made Christopher mad. Then all of a sudden fire came out of Christopher like an explosion and it burnt everyone and everything around him. Christopher panicked as his friends screamed. He used his power to get rid of the fire. When he did that he realized his friends were barely burned and their wounds healed in seconds.

"Oh my god guys I'm so sorry." Christopher said as Christina put out the fires.

"It's fine. It was an accident." Sofia said.

"And somehow we have no injuries." Christina added.

"We must have superhuman durability and regeneration." Christopher explained.

Then Christopher went up to a tree to test out the ability and punched the tree. The tree completely broke and it slammed into the tree behind it and that one too.

"Woah I barely punched that tree." Christopher said.

"Oh my god we have superhuman strength too, we are so powerful." Christopher said.

Then Sofia gasped. Everyone looked at her in confusion.

"Sofia what's wrong?" Brian asked.

"I just saw something. I think it was the future." Sofia said.

"What?" Christina said in disbelief.

"What do you mean Sofia?" Christopher asked.

"I was just wondering what's gonna happen in the future with these new powers and a small tornado appeared and I saw something in it and I'm sure it was the future." Sofia explained.
