My ear pressed against the door didn't do much but tell me when to run back into my own room. I heard footsteps pat down into the living area and they seemed to stop there. I was debating on whether I should go outside and be social or waste a day in my room watching American Horror Story yet again when Cassidy barged into my room.

"Whats the deal outside everyone seems so tense?" she looked as if she just woke up, probably due to the insane amount of partying she's been doing.

"I don't even know, I just want to stay out of it." I really thought that once we left High School all the drama would go away.

"Ok well anyways I'm starved so I was gonna go get something to eat and then do a bit of shopping downtown, do you wanna come?" she asked

"Well I just had some lunch with Louis but I'm always up for some shopping. " I knew the shops around USC were pretty decent and some indie stores had some eccentric decor for my room.

I decided to go wait out in the living room while Cassidy fixed her disheveled self only to find Louis out there smiling down at his phone.

"Let me guess, Maggie?" I asked as I sat down

"Actually no it's my sister, shes been texting me non-stop. We've never really been apart."

"Oh," I began "I didn't know you had a sister."

"Five actually, Lottie, Fizzy, Phoebe, Daisy and Doris."

My eyes widened and his grin grew larger, I'm sure he gets this reaction a lot.

"As expected," He laughed "They're all half siblings though, my dad left when I was young."

"Oh, sorry to hear that. My mom died when I was eight." I never knew what it was to have a broken home even though I hadn't had a mom most of my life, well at least literally, she was always there.

"That must've been hard, the time you need your mum the most." It was true, I did need her right around then was when mean girls would come out. Eventually id be off to middle school with no advice what-so-ever. Let me tell you wearing clothes that your middle aged father picked out was never pretty.

"Ready!" Cassidy shouted as she shuffled out of her already messy room.

"Bye Lou." I called as she pulled me out the door.

I sat in the Mcallister's watching Cassidy finish her food, I hated chain restaurants with a passion. Unless they were Taco Bell or any other Mexican food for that matter. The screaming kids and unconcerned parents always came along with them.

"So," Cassidy began until she stuffed her face with the club. "Louis' pretty cute, huh?"

"Yeah I guess." I shrugged her off, honestly I thought he was the most adorable thing but, there had to be a catch to him besides the girlfriend. He was friends with Harry, he had to be bad news.

"Oh c'mon! You guess? He's so hot and you know it."

"Yeah but he has a girlfriend, I'm not into the whole man stealing thing." Cassidy had been spending her fair share with both of the boys, she had to have known.

"So? She's in England. We're in California, that's like ten thousand miles away and totally different time zones. I give them two weeks and they'll be done. "

"I also think you may have forgotten I used to date his best friend. The same one that still wants to get back together with me. " My mind flashed back to the first night and my encounter with Harry.

"What?" she practically screamed across the whole freaking restaurant and everything turned dead silent.

"Calm the fuck down Cass, it's not like I told you he's a murderer!"

"Sorry, sorry. It's just that's pretty big! Why don't you want to give it another try? You never did tell me what happened between you two. "

"Ok I guess I have to tell you eventually," I took a deep breath as I usually did before this story. I could never fully explain the joy I felt with Harry, or the pain once he left. It was the best feeling and worst feeling I've ever experienced. Even when my own mother died, what Harry did scarred me because he chose it. He chose to leave me.

"Basically, Harry had came to Los Angeles to pursue a music career he had a band and everything. They were amazing, he was always recording demos, meeting with producers, anything to start up his career. He was pretty close to doing it too. Well, I worked at a Starbucks a couple blocks down from where his apartment was. He would come in pretty regularly to get snacks and stuff for his band when they practiced. It was a pretty slow crowd so usually he would be the only one in the store. One day he asked me out and I accepted. He took me to this roller rink a couple streets over, he said that if I could take the embarrassment of being on a date with the klutziest person there I was something special. It was different than anything I've ever done. He wanted to see if I was confident enough in myself to deal with him. I was immediately drawn to him. Long story short we started dating, all the way up until the end of the summer. It was honestly the best months of my life, but I blocked everyone out. It was all Harry all the time, and I hadn't realized but I no longer bad any friends. Everyone ditched me because I had done the same to them for a guy. One day I went to Harry's after work to see him and bring him our usual Friday night takeout and he was gone. No note no anything, he was just gone. Everything. All of his furniture, his clothes, his motorbike, everything just disappeared. Luckily I had an amazing friend that helped me get back and regain some of my friends at school. I basically only had Raquelle though, and my dad. Harry never texted, called, skyped, even fucking emailed me. I didn't give a shit how I just needed to talk to him, know why he left. He still hasn't told me. When we moved in last week that was the first time I saw him since. "

"Oh," I could tell she didn't know what to say, or how to sympathize. "Thats actually really sketchy."

"Yeah, right?" I agreed.

Cassidy perked up again as she stood from her seat.

"I don't care if he has a girlfriend or not I am getting you with Louis Tomlinson if it's the last thing i do. You need this. It's payback to the little bitch who left you. "

"Well, someone sounds like they want to chop someone's dick off." You could tell Cassidy had experience in this - payback on exes, not dick chopping.
