Chapter 4- Memories

Rest in Peace EunB and Rise.

I opened the work room door without a knock. Jaehyo had taken his turn on the sewing machine while Kyung and B-bomb were picking out bedazzles for the new outfits. Taeil was setting aside and array of shoes to choose from and even had a catalog set aside for me. U-kwon and Sun-Hye were out on a picnic and Zico was busy at another sewing machine working on the wedding dress.

"Hey guys." I said.

 "Oh hey there." Kyung looked up from the pile of jewels.

"You are early, I'm not even done with the last dress." Jaehyo murmured.

"Where's Pyo?" I asked suddenly realizing that he wasn't in the room.

"He's..." B-bomb started.

"Visiting a friend." Zico said.

 "Who?" I asked quizzically.

"Uh." Taeil expression darkened.

"Someone who is no longer with us." Pyo's voice entered the room before he did.

"I'm sorry Pyo," I said patting his arm as he neared me, "May I ask?"

 "She was someone I knew a long time a time ago." Pyo said passing me and sitting on the couch next to Taeil.

 "She was quite beautiful, and she was a vampire." Jaehyo spoke.

"I thought...." I started.

"Yes, we are immortal." Zico said stopping his work and turning to face me.

"But if a vampire is to fall in love and pronounce their love for a human they lose their immortality."

 "Like Eli and Sungmin?" I asked quietly.

"Yes." Taeil said.

"There is one thing though Rachel." Kyung said beckoning me to the work chair beside him, "Eli and Sungmin fell in love after this incident."

 "You guys are beating around the bush." U-kwon and Sun-Hye entered the room, "Just tell her."

"Tell me what?" I asked.

"Rachel when this town was founded seven hundred years ago The House of Jokers and Devil's House and the House of Codes were also the first founded houses." B-bomb said.

"Yes and out of the three the only two still stand. The House of Morse Code was the first ever girl house." Kyung said.

 "But two of them..." Pyo's voice shook.

"Huh?"

 "Two members of the House of Morse Code, EunB and Rise fell into a complicated romance." Kyung said, "Rise fell in love with a human named Roh Ji-hoon When she pronounced her love for him in front of Shinhwa they were glad she had found it."

 "But she and EunB were inseparable. EunB would often leave Midnight Hour and go visit Rise on the outskirts of the human village where she lived with Ji-hoon." Jaehyo said.

 "One day EunB went to Shinhwa and professed her love to stay with Rise." U-kwon spoke, "And so it was that Shinhwa agreed."

 "They passed away because they turned human, didn't they?" I asked knowing the answer.

"Yes, Rise and EunB had come to visit us," Zico responded, "One moment Shinhwa heard laughter the next they were calling us to their house to pronounce they were dead."

 "JunJin, Shinhwa's curator of the housing development, noticed that Rise and EunB were nowhere to be seen. He searched and found them on a wagon trail deep in the mountains." Pyo finally responded, "It seemed that they had wondered, but we all did that in search of food."
