The gem was stuck in place blushing madly but clearly in an entirely different universe with her mouth hanging open. You couldn't help but giggle a bit from her expression as you grabbed her hand and helped her up. Wrapping your arm around her waist, you took off running from the scene carrying spinel along with you.

You opened up your apartment door, allowing spinel to walk in as you trailed behind her and shut the door. She looked around, admiring the decorations and Posters from tv shows covering your walls. You were exhausted from all the running, and it was really late. You yawned, about to fall over from sleepiness and exhaustion. Spinel looked over to you and noticed your weariness and scooped you up in her arms. You grinned as you felt her pick you up into a bridal carry "hey.. you can crash here for the night if you want" you murmured trying to stay awake. She smiled and thanked you as she carried you down the hall looking for your bedroom as you fell asleep in her arms.

You woke up to the sun shining on your eyes and the sound of birds chirping outside. Slowly you rub your eyes and begin to open them as you sit up. You were immediately startled by a figure standing guard at the foot of your bed. The figure turned around to look at you  and smiled gleefully at the sight of you awake. You then remember the night before, running into her, running from the cops, bringing her home....... Your face turned red as your recalled kissing her and your last memory of falling asleep in your supposed bedroom guardian's arms.

"Mornin' sunshine" the pink gem gleamed as she turned to face you. "O-oh! Good morning!" You stammered, embarrassed. "Here... I heard you humans like eatin' food in the mornin'.... so I brought you somethin'" she winked as she leaned over and handed you a handful of Rice Krispies. Although you were flattered by the kind gesture, you didn't think Rice Krispies couldn't be considered breakfast, but how could you say no to her? You decided to suck it up, Rice Krispies would have to count as breakfast today.

As you began to eat, you started to notice more details about her now that you could properly get a good look at her. Her shoes and shoulder pads were pointed, and her hair seemed to somehow defy gravity, it turned on her head whenever she looked to the side. And that's when you realized how truely cartoony she looked, and oh how you adored it so much. You smiled at the thought of the gem bouncing up and down singing some goofy song. You immediately felt the rush of butterflies in your stomach again, and you suddenly realized how big of a nut job you really were, falling in love with an alien, let alone one that looked like it could be the next Disney mascot.

But you couldn't help but smile every time you looked at her, and get lost in those beautiful magenta eyes. You started to think "I wish my children could have magenta eyes" but caught yourself as you realized what you just thought. You shook your head in disbelief, an alien and a human, that could never wor- you stopped mid thought as you remembered that kid. The half gem one, his mom was a gem. Could it be possible for her and this alien to have a child of their own? You were deep in thought but were snapped out of it as the gem cleared her throat. "So... you got a name? She asked, you realized after all this time you didn't even catch her name! "It's (Y/N), what's yours?" "The name's spinel" she smiled "but it's nowhere near as nice as yours" you blushed at the comment "th-thanks..."
