Joss was laughing at Dome's story about stopping the car when his favorite song played on the radio. 'That's the most dramatic thing I've ever heard, to be honest,' he said. 'But, Princes Hours' OST? Really?'
Dome hit his friend's arm. 'Have you forgotten we used to watch it together??'
'Because you dragged me all the time!!'
Dome rolled his eyes. 'Whatever.'
'That's the only time David wouldn't join you, so you had to pull the substitute.' Joss pouted.
'Liar.' Dome stuck his tongue out. 'You were in love with both the Prince AND the Princess.'
Joss laughed again. 'You don't have any evidence. Anyway... that was also one of the few times I got you all to myself so I didn't complain.' Joss winked.
Dome stuffed his mouth with food. He felt his face grow warm. It's so difficult to simply treat Joss as a friend because he's so gorgeous!!
'Fuck you.'
'Where?' Joss asked, acting excited. 'Let's go!'
Dome shook his head and continued eating the mousse. This was their second serving already.
No wonder Joong felt insecure around Joss. Not only was the latter tall and handsome, he's also intelligent, funny, and cares about other people's well-being. If Joss would pursue someone and Dome's in the way, Dome thought he would probably give up immediately. There's no way he'd win against someone like him.
'Ah!' Joss exclaimed. 'Wait here.' He dashed to the laptop at the counter and typed something. He then went to the backroom, and when he came out, he was wearing a red cape that Dome recognized as one of the restaurant's curtains. He was holding a huge spatula, and on his head was a crown made of cardboard paper.
Dome raised an eyebrow.
Joss fixed his cell phone on the bar and started a live streaming on Instagram. 'Good afternoon, everyone!' He flashed his pearly-white smile. 'Today is a very special day, because I have a very special friend with me right now. He's sad because of the awful weather and problems of the heart. And because he's feeling blue, we're here to make him happy.
'May I present to you, my friend and CHILDHOOD CRUSH, Dome Woranart Ratthanaphast!!!'
Dome almost choked.
Joss signaled the bartender, and then suddenly the whole place was filled with music. It was Eric Nam's and Cheeze's version of Perhaps Love!
Joss sang his heart out, using the spatula as pretend microphone. He was dancing to the rhythm as he walked towards Dome.
Dome laughed out loud, especially when Joss kneeled on one knee and took Dome's left hand.
The people in the restaurant took out their phones and recorded what has happening.
Red faced, Dome stood and danced sweetly with Joss. He couldn't stop giggling, but then joined Joss singing.
Memories came flooding. The two of them watching TV while eating chips and drinking Coke. The two of them in bed reading Dark Horse comics. The two of them running home from school to play in the brook.
When the song ended, people were clapping, even Joss's mom. They embraced tightly. 'I missed you,' Joss whispered.
The afternoon passed by with more laughter and reminiscing.
The sky was threatening to dump rain again, so Joss decided to bring Dome home. Nevertheless, they still got wet, because it started raining when they were already near the house.
It was only 6PM, but the heaven and their surroundings were already dark. They ran to the house laughing, until they were under the roof. Dome pushed his wet hair back and looked at his friend's eyes.
'Thank you for today,' Dome said. 'I really appreciate it.'
Joss was about to reply, when all of a sudden, Pavel stepped out of the shadows.
Dome's heart started to race. He could feel the heat coming from the other guy.
What is Pavel doing here??
'Are you done?' Pavel asked. 'Or do you need to kiss before saying goodbye?'
