"So, Arlington. I hear you have a new room mate." Arlington sat on the loveseat Niall had slept on the night before, her sister's image playing on the phone screen in front of her. Niall was out with Logan and Silas, where they were "creating friendships." Arlington had gotten left behind, claiming she had to work on a project, where in reality she just didn't want to invade.

"Yeah, his name's Niall." Arlington rolled her eyes as she answered, obviously showing displeasure when Niall was mentioned. Rory, who was her sister, frowned before speaking again.

"Come on, you've known him for what, a day?" Rory tucked a strand of her short hair behind her ear, attempting to reason with Arlington. "Well, is he at least the slightest bit attractive?" Arlington pretended to debate the question, although she already had an answer.

"No." Rory snickered a bit at Arlington's weak lie, causing Arlington to flush and hide behind a curtain of her hair.

"Admit it."

Niall huffed in response to Silas' accusation, which he had previously answered. Logan and Silas had taken Niall down to the crowded game room, planning on questioning Niall about Arlington. They now sat on one of the stained couches which reeked of soiled beer, while Silas and Logan interrogated Niall.

"I don't hate her? I've only known her for a day." Logan smacked the back of Niall's head, causing Niall to grumble as they began to laugh. Niall pulled out his phone, checking the time to see when he could leave the "creating friendships" time.

Silas grabbed Niall's phone from his hands, going straight to the contacts. Niall desperately tried to get his phone back, quite annoyed with both Logan and Silas at the moment. "You don't have her number yet?" Silas was scrolling through Niall's contacts, disappointed when he didn't find one that read 'Arlington.'

"Niall, who's Charlotte?" Logan was reading the contacts over Silas' shoulder, widening his eyes when he found a contact with a girl's name. Niall rolled his eyes after successfully grabbing his phone back.

"My cousin."

Silas laughed as Logan's eyes widened in disapproval. Niall glanced at the two of them, seconds later scooting farther away from them. They sat there for a couple for minutes, distracted by absolutely nothing.

"Let's go to the diner." Logan suggested whilst silently smirking to Silas because they both knew that they would run into Arlington there.

Niall looked up from his phone, where he had been stalking some random hot girl on twitter. This was a sign that he was most definitely bored out of his mind. "Sure." Niall locked his phone, stood up and shoved it into his back pocket, waiting for the other two boys to stand up and follow him out of the building.

"I call shotgun!" Logan rolled his eyes as Silas began to laugh at Niall. Niall looked at the pair questioningly.

"There is no shotgun, we're skateboarding there."

Niall automatically shook his head 'no,' because he had absolutely no idea how to skateboard, and he wasn't open to trying new things the majority of the time. Silas began to laugh even harder, because he had already expected that answer from Niall.

"Well you can just run." Logan dropped his skateboard on the ground, Silas' dropping only seconds later. Niall stared at them in complete disbelief as they began skating out of the parking lot, laughing as they left him behind.

"Wait!" Niall began jogging towards them, hardly catching up, as he would have to sprint to be even with them now. Both Logan and Silas didn't slow down for Niall, who was desperately chasing after them. They continued laughing as they narrowly avoided cars, looking back occasionally, only to laugh harder at Niall.
