"I'm still kind of surprised to be honest."

Jimin and I are sitting together, having decided to go out for a celebratory dinner. We'd finally managed to graduate, and spirits are at an all time high.

Appa really wanted to join us for dinner too, but Jiminie had been adamant about it just being us for tonight, so Appa had caved fairly easily. He still adores Jimin, and I'm all the more grateful for it.

"What are you surprised about? My ability to perfectly cook beef on an open fire?"

Jimin looks confused, but continues to tend to our meal nonetheless.

"No, " I laugh. "Chan-ri. I always expected her to pop up and make things difficult for us, but she never did."

"She did kind of vanish after the two of us finally got together. I can't say I ever wondered what happened to her though."

"That's mean!" I exclaim, elbowing him playfully and smiling brightly.

"I don't think so, " he replies cheekily, "I just think it's a waste of my precious headspace. I'd much rather be thinking about you. The way you smile, the way you laugh... The way you moan when I kiss that one little spot in the dip of your back..."

"Jimin!" I squeal, turning bright red in utter mortification.

He smiles, clearly he still enjoys annoying me and watching me get all riled up. You'd think that after nearly a full year together his antics would have become less effective, but if anything, their effectiveness has only increased.

As has my love for the punk.

"I can't believe you already have a job all lined up, " he tells me, switching the topic with a smile on his face. "Once again I'm gonna have to play catch up."

I laugh brightly.

"Or you could always be a stay at home dad, " I tease.

"Well, you'd have to marry me first, " he returns with an equally teasing lilt.

We sit there, smiling at one another cheerily. But then, a serious kind of look crosses Jimin's face, and I begin to grow nervous.

"Actually, " he confesses, "I've already got a couple interviews lined up, and I have a really good feeling about at least one of them."

I wait patiently, the look on his face tells me that there is more he wants to say. To my astonishment, he stands, only to kneel before me. My heart begins to pound fiercely as he reaches into his pocket, and my breath is stolen away as he pulls pit a small box.

Just big enough for a ring.

"Olivia Shin, " he speaks softly, face timged with nervousness as happy tears begin to well up within my eyes. "I promise that I won't be playing catch up for long, and before you know it, I'll be more than qualified to stand by your side for the rest of our lives. So, would you please do me the honor of making an honest man out of me? Marry me."

I let out a breathless squeal, and launch myself at his neck as he stands.

"You already are more than qualified Jiminie, " I reply, burying my face into the crook of his neck as he supports my weight with both hands. "There's no one else I'd rather have beside me!"

"So that's a yes?"

"Yes!"

He spins me around, neither of us paying attention to the meat and how crispy it is becoming. Food is the last thing on our minds at the moment.
