Scorch sat on her fence post. She sighed, then jumped down, going into the world outside her own. Out of the world of Cloud, and into the world of Scorch, the cat who will help any family, no matter what.

I'm waking up to ash and dust
I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust.

She went around the fenced area of the Twoleg Place she once called home until she heard a small voice. "Momma, Momma!" She jumped to the top of the fence, and a small white kit with bright blue eyes looked up at her. "Who are you?" The kit asked. It's back leg was stuck under a rock, and when she looked, Scorch saw a pretty white she-cat pawing at her window, crying for her kit.
She didn't reply, instead she jumped down to the small white ball of fluff and lifted the rock with her nose, picking up the kit by the scruff and climbing to the window, returning the kit to it's mother.
I'm breathing in the chemicals.
The mother looked at her. "Thank you for returning my kit! Who are you?" Scorch smiled.
"I'm Cloud. Call me Scorch." The she-cat nodded and went into the Twoleg nest.
"Bye, Scorch! Thank you for saving me!" She heard as she landed.
"No problem, kit." She said in the direction of the window.
I'm breaking in
Shaping up
Then checking out on the prison bus.

She continued on her journey around the fence. She padded until nightfall; and curled up, ready to sleep. She jumped when she heard a small, shrill screech. "Mom! Dad! Save me!" She scurried to the top of the fence to see a kit about 7 moons old being chased by a dog. The kit was dark gray and had dark blue eyes. She waited for the right moment, then jumped on the dog, pinning it and attacking it until it fled.
"Thank you." She turned to see the kit and her mother. "For saving my life. Who are you?"
"Call me Scorch." She smiled at the kit.
She went back over the fence, the kit and her mother watching her go. "I want to be like her when I grow up. Saving cats' lives."
    "She's a stray honey. You're a house cat."
"I know, mother." The kit sighed.
    This is it the apocalypse.
I'm waking up
I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow.

Scorch padded on, and eventually came to a break in her path. "Hmm..." She bounded the way that led away from the Twoleg Place, and towards the mountains.
For moons, she kept padding. And walking. And trotting. And she didn't stop until she came to a bare spot of land. It was large, and in many places the dirt had been disturbed. She looked around, seeing nothing. She saw something and padded towards it. It was a tuft of fur, and it looked to be from a calico. She inspected it closer.
Welcome to the new age
To the new age
Welcome to the new age
To the new age.

Scorch padded away from it and saw a burnt piece of fur. It seemed to be gray and had burned. She looked around, and went on with a message.Darkness, air, water, and sky will come together... and shake the forest to its roots.
Whoa
Whoa I'm
Radioactive
Radioactive.
Whoa
Whoa I'm
Radioactive
Radioactive.
She went over the mountains and met a tribe of cats who told her that a large group of cats had been here and led her to a small pile of rocks. She sniffed it. "It smells like that land..." The leader then told her the cats had come because their home was destroyed. Scorch then had a new purpose: to find the cats.
All systems go...
The sun hasn't died...
Deep in my bones...

Straight from inside...
I'm waking up.

She exited the mountains. "I feel it in my bones, enough to make my systems blow! Welcome to the new age, to the new age, welcome to the new age! To the new age!" She yowled to the skies. She went to the nearest cave and slept there for the next night.
