This our town of Halloween.
A small group of cats padded through the forest, paws leaving prints behind them. The cats were Petalfoot, Lightfrost, Frostedstar, Goldenfeather, Eaglefeather, Peppernose, and Shadowheart. Petalfoot stopped.
"Where's Shadefeather?" The others widened their eyes and turned around. They retraced their steps, calling their friend's name.
"It's no use. We can't find her." Shadowheart mewed, pulling thorns out of her pelt. Heads hanging and tails dragging, they continued on their trek. What they didn't see, however, was Goldenfeather being pulled into the bushes behind them.

Pumpkins scream in the dead of night
This is Halloween, everybody make a scene
Trick or treat till the neighbors gonna die of fright
It's our town, everybody scream
In this town of Halloween
Frostedstar was the one who noticed this time. "Goldenfeather's gone!" They checked everywhere, finding nothing.
"Well, that was useless." Peppernose commented coldly, glaring at the group.
I am the one hiding under your bed
Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red
I am the one hiding under yours stairs
Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair
They journeyed on. Before long, Peppernose sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws. The others looked back at her. "Peppernose?" Petalfoot asked, coming over to her. Peppernose just growled, baring her teeth.
"Peppernose, calm down." Shadowheart mewed, red eyes narrowed in confusion.
Peppernose growled again. "Peppernose, what's wrong with you?" Petalfoot snarled. Peppernose glared at her and turned away. Petalfoot growled softly. "Fine." She stalked off, her tail's red tip flicking.
Shadowheart narrowed her eyes at Peppernose again, this time however, her eyes had an essence of fury. She followed Petalfoot and they ignored Peppernose.
Eaglefeather looked around. "Frostedstar is missing!" Petalfoot, Shadowheart, and Peppernose didn't search for their friend at all. "Nothing."

In this town, don't we love it now
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise!
The remaining she-cats followed the path. They must have walked for at least two moon rises, but the sun wouldn't come up, and the moon wouldn't go down.
"Eaglefeather?" Lightfrost asked quietly.
"Yes, Lightfrost?"
"What do you think will happen to us? The sun won't rise, and we're all disappearing."
"I don't know, Lightfrost. Just don't worry, and everything will be fine."
Lightfrost sighed, following the others. They still wouldn't speak to each other, despite what was happening.
They came to a clearing and rested. Lightfrost woke up to something poking her stomach. "Lightfrost? Lightfrost? Lightfrost, Peppernose is gone!" Lightfrost sat up quickly, seeing Eaglefeather with a scared look in her eyes.
Petalfoot was looking around with Shadowheart, seeming to completely forget the argument they had with Peppernose.
I am the clown with the tear-away face
Here in a flash and gone without a trace
I am the who when you call, 'Who's there?'
I am the wind blowing through your hair
I am the shadow on the moon at night
Filling your dreams to the brim with fright.
They all walked along the path again. Shadowheart's head snapped from side to side, eyes wide. The bushes rustled, and she jumped back, bumping Petalfoot. A small rabbit hopped out.
"Really?" Petalfoot asked, her voice soaked with disapproval.
Shadowheart smiled sheepishly and Petalfoot caught up to the others. Shadowheart flicked her eyes to the bush and yelped when she was pulled into it by her tail.
Meanwhile, Petalfoot was walking in front of Eaglefeather and Lightfrost. Eaglefeather stopped, the others not seeing her. Her muzzle was buried in the dirt as she was dragged away, her friends padding away.

Tender lumplings everywhere
Life's no fun without a good scare
That's our job, but we're not mean
In our town of Halloween!
"Wait." Petalfoot and Lightfrost stopped, hearing a sound. Suddenly, Petalfoot yowled and fell, being pulled into the forest. "Lightfrost! Help me!" Lightfrost growled, bounding through the trees and following Petalfoot. She stopped when she came to a cliff.
She looked around, seeing nothing. She sighed and turned in the direction of the path.
In this town
Don't we love it now

Skeleton Jack might catch you in the back

She stopped when she felt teeth on her tail. She collapsed onto her stomach, bright blue eyes widened. She thrashed around as she was dragged through the bushes, branches whipping her face and covering her with scars. Lightfrost gasped and passed out as her head hit a tree root.
"Lightfrost! Lightfrost, please!" Lightfrost heard a familiar voice as her hearing came back. She saw a silver tabby with black markings and purple eyes looking at her with worry.
"Shadefeather?" She asked.
All of the cats in the small space came over to her. Lightfrost looked around, seeing a small cave with a strong underground river roaring past. She got onto her paws and looked outside of the cave, seeing a small white light from far away.

"Over there!" She motioned towards it with her paw. Shadefeather padded out of the cave, followed by Lightfrost, Petalfoot, Shadowheart, Goldenfeather, Eaglefeather, Frostedstar, and Peppernose.
They eventually made it to the light and made it outside of the cave. They all celebrated their return in the light of the sun, and padded home before dark.
