Chapter 22

(Genos POV)

Humming as i cleaned the counter tops i couldnt help but be excited, i was just overall in a good mood ever since sci broke the good news, reaper was out working, Ink let me have a few days off to recover from being in the hospital.

Glancing up the day was beautiful with fresh flowers blooming in the garden, perhaps I'd go for a walk, though I might wait for Reaper I don't like just walking around with out anyone anymore.

Putting the rest of the cups away I headed to the bed room changing in to a plain white t shirt and black shorts. Throwing my scarf around me I headed out side to go meet reaper at work.

Eventually I had arrived at the quaint shop sitting at a table I waited to spot my boyfriend. Eventually I did he was swiftly making drinks. I had never really seen him at work only the few odd times.

He was so busy he hadn't noticed me yet, I was so busy staring off in to space I hadn't felt the tap on my shoulder until the person cleared their throat.

Looking at the Skelton who stood awkwardly "hello." Black tear marks ran down his eyes giving him a slightly scary look but he seemed pleasant enough.

"May I take your order?" Panicking slightly I felt for my note pad. Thankfully having it I jotted down what I wanted and handed it to him.

He looked at me funny before laughing "Don't like talking to people?" I gave a shrug "I mean I thought I was anti social" silently laughing he made a salute before walking back behind the counter.

Fiddling with a torn edge on my note pad I jumped in my seat when a quick kiss was placed against my temple. "I knew it was you love~" batting him away playfully I pretend to me annoyed that he startled me.

"When killer handed me your usual i thought it would be worth seeing you. So what brings you here miss me that much?" He cooed making me roll my good eye.  Writing on the paper I handed it to him

He read it was a smirk "yeah okay love, but my shifts almost over how about we go out to dinner after this? My treat" giving him a suspicious look I wrote what's the catch? Making him laugh "no catch though maybe later tonight you-" pushing him away I felt my face heat up at his insinuation making him laugh harder as he walked back behind the counter not before giving me one last wink.

Huffing from how flustered I got I could only shake my head as I watched him go. How did I end up getting such a annoying handsome jerk as my soulmate... soulmate it felt nice thinking of him that way.

Looking at the words on my arm that I once thought silly made me smile, how could anyone hate theirs?

"Ready my dear~?" Smiling I took Reapers hand before going to link my arm with his. As we walked down the street it about mid day many monsters and humans walked about busy with their daily lives. We walked past a park school just got out so many raced to go out and play.

It made me wonder if one day reaper and I would ever have children.. it was a nice thought I haven't really wrote notes to reaper like that it was still to soon in the relationship and reaper seemed fine waiting on plus where not even married yet.

Reaper had broke my thoughts by tugging my arm slightly, "you alright hun?" Blushing at the nickname I nodded he nodded back as well. Opening his mouth to speak he was interrupted by his phone buzzing in his pocket. "I'll just take this."

Releasing his arm he walked a few steps away answering the caller with a hello?

(Reapers POV)

"Hello?" I asked  not knowing the number that called. "Hey reaper! It's sci so tomorrow will that work for the both of you???" Confused and a bit suprised at the sudden news I looked back at Geno who looked at me curiously. Smiling I was sure Geno would be "yeah it should do, why the suddenness?" "I would have thought the sooner the better?" "True alright well thanks also new number?" "No I was calling on a friends phone anyways when I'm back I'll text you the time and details" "alright till then I guess." Hanging up I walked back over to Geno shoving the phone back in my pocket.

"Hey Geno what do you think about having the procedure tomorrow?" He looked suprised before a grin split his face. Nodding his head enthusiastically he threw him self in to a embrace.Chuckling he was so adorable like this pulling back With a smirk "now actually how about some victory ice cream to celebrate!" Geno Didnt even nod just started tugging me down the road to our favourite stand.

Things where finally perfect, finally for once we where not alone anymore and once Genos able to talk we won't have to fear succumbing to sickness. If everything could stay like this forever is all I could ask for.
