Chapter 23

(Reapers POV)

Geno went to hang out with ink today which I was almost greatfull due to the fact I was looking for a ring to propose to Geno at some point.

Cross joined me, "sooo I bet your exited" cross spoke, I mean I was, but I also was nervous sci already said Geno had a weaker soul then most.So its risky but the odds of him dying have lessened almost ten fold. "I suppose I just don't want him to get hurt" he nodded from the corner of my eye.

"Understandable" finally we arrived at the store walking in I wasn't sure when I became more friendly with cross it with either him or error and I know errors not entirely fond of me.

Though cross is nice, even if he can be quiet.But  hey, I'm used to that at least.

A quaint elderly lady aproched us she was a cat monster grey  peppering her golden orange fur.

"Greetings, how may I help you gentlemen today" I wasn't fully  comfortable asking her for help looking, if I was honest I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for.

Cross saw my face and turned to the lady "'May we just look around" a warm smile fell on her face "of course dears, take your time" letting out a breath of relief cross patted my back.

Scanning around the displays  seemed fitting Geno wasn't entirely a stand out person so I new he wouldn't want anything too flashy.

Finally I noticed one that seemed rather nice the Center piece on it was a white diamond but along the silver band where tiny ruby flecks. He did like white and red.

The lady noticed my interest and walked over. "I see this one caught your eye" nodding she picked it out of the cause handing it to me so I could examine it.

Cross peered over my shoulder "he'd love that"  nodding the lady smiled and asked me the ring size thankfully I got Dream to ask about it.

Aa she looked through the storage room she came back out "it's always nice to see young people picking out rings, unfortunately I didn't find love until I was quite older" nodding she examined it to make sure it was the correct one "so he's your soulmate?" "Yeah kind of weird I started dateing him before I actually new" she looked at me curiously "well that must be fate then. I'm sure he'd say yes"

Smiling at the reassurance the lady boxed it up carefully.

After getting that sorted cross went home. I tucked it away in the glove box of my car. Jumping out Geno was supposed to go in tomorrow to see sci,  opening the door Geno peaked from around the Corner with a pout.

Before opening my mouth Geno held the note out

'Why where you out for so long????' Chuckling I made it sound like I found it funny but what was I going to say???? "I was out with cross" he gave me a suspicious look but didn't push it.

Scribbling some thing he handed me the note 'you just never go out unless it's for work that all' "what?? No I go out sometimes I'm not that much of a hermit,okay" he just rolled his eye light laughing silently  pulling me in to the kitchen.

Kicking off my shoes quickly I complied with his pulling, he pushed me on the couch and before I could say anything he hoped down next to me cuddling underneath my arm. Blushing slightly I begun to pet his skull gently seeing a small smile grace his angelic face.

""Nervous?" He gave a shrug rolling so he's able to look at me, he found the note pad back out his pocket, 'why should I be when I know it'll be okay' yeah he wrote it with confidence but it was always hard to tell.

Hardest part of this relationship Geno could hide so many emotions with out his voice, it was hard to tell when he was hurt angry with me, upset, fed up, nervous.. I just had to rely on his body language.
