Toast to the ones who we lost on the way

Tony's POV
Peter hasn't said a word. He's just sitting there, staring at her ashes. Oh god. How could I let this happen? Everyone I love either hurts me or dies. Just a matter of time before Peter is taken.
My hands won't stop trembling. It almost reminds me of Stephen in some twisted way.
It been about 10 minutes since the snap. Peter, Nebula and I are the only ones left on Titan. We'll eventually have to move, but Peter looks so fragile. I don't want to break him.
I use all the strength and will left in my body to stand up and walk over to Nebula. She's stood at a respectful distance while we grieved. She looks stoic on the outside, but I can't imagine how she must really be feeling. She just lost half of her friends and her sister was killed by her father. How is she still functioning?
"Nebula, right?"
She nods slightly. "I'm not going to fake it; I have no idea what your name is."
Her bluntness causes me to crack a small smile. "Tony. Tony Stark."
"The man that got dusted," I sucked in a breath. "Was he your husband?"
"I could only dream."
She seemed slightly confused but continued on. "And the girl? Your daughter?"
I nodded my head with no hesitation.
"And finally, is that boy your son?"
I looked over at Peter. He sat with his knees hugged to his chest. The tears had stopped, but the trail they took on his face were clear. The water had cleared paths in the dirt and blood that stained his skin.
I looked back at Nebula. "I wish he was. He's more like an apprentice."
She nodded in understanding.
"Is the ship ready for us to leave?"
"Some parts were damaged in the battle but I think I can get them running again with your help."
"I know you aren't from Earth but I think that were we should head. Peter probably wants to be home and I think some of the people there could help you. Weather it be trying to get them back or finding support."
She considered this for a moment, expression unchanged. "Fine."
Nebula walked away. I assume to work on the ship.
Now to move Peter.
I slowly approached him and stood in front of him. When he didn't look up, I sit down next to him. I waited for a second to see if he would say anything. I was about to speak first when he spoke up.
"It should have been me." He said barely above a whisper.
"Kid?"
His expression changed from sad to angry. "It should have been me! I should have protected her, but I didn't! I couldn't! I just sat here and watched it happen!"
"Pete, you couldn-"
"I. Should. Have. Tried." His ridged muscles became limp again as his face went back to sadness. "It's my fault."
