Chapter 1: A Peaceful Start

It's been 6 years since Y/N was adopted to the Kocho Family, both Ms and Mrs Kocho raised him like their own son. When Y/n was first taken in, the next month his little sister was born her name is Kanae Kocho. Two years later, another baby was born her name is Shinobu Kocho. Y/n loved them very much, he loves them so much that he will sacrifice his life for theirs.

Now Y/n is 7 years old,  and now he was walking around the house at night looking at the wisteria flowers taht is scattered around the house, then he was called by his father after seeing him not asleep.

Father: Y/n? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be asleep?

Y/n: Forgive me father, i was just curious on why are there so many flowers around the estate?

Father smiled at his curiosity, and told him to sit down next to him. Y/n sits next to his step father.

Father: Let me tell you a story Y/n...

Y/N: What story father?

Father: This world is not as peaceful as it looks outside of the walls from the estate is where the monster of the night hunts for food. The food that they eat is us, humans...

Y/n: Are you talking about animals, like bear and wolves father?

Father: No Y/n, the monsters that i'm talking about are Demons

Y/n: Demons?

Father: Yes, demons have existed for over 1000 years ago. They hunt for humans every night, because they will die if they are hit by sunlight. Tell me Y/n, i know that you have been sneaking in to my office once in a while right?

This caused Y/n to be nervous, and he looked away from his father. Father laughed and put his hand on Y/n's head and ruffle his hair. Y/n then joins his father and laughed too.

Y/n: I'm sorry father, at first i was going to ignore it, then i saw a lot of books and papers and a-

Father: Sword, a sword right?

Y/n nodded.

Father: It's fine Y/n,  Your mother and i are planning to tell you one day when you are older, but i think now is the time. Listen Y/n, your mother and i are demon slayer, while i use a sword, your mother uses a katana.

Y/n: Demon slayers?

Y/n tilted his head in confusion.

Father: We are the one who prevents the demons from attacking anymore people. Now, Y/n...

Y/n: Yes father?

Father: I can feel that my life is not going to hold out much longer, i want you to protect your sisters for me okay? 

Y/n: Yes, father i promise you! Father, can you train me to be a demon slayer like you?

Y/n said with determination, this caused his father to laugh while he ruffles Y/n's hair.

Father: Okay, we'll begin tomorrow at night okay?

Y/n: Why at night father?

Father: You'll know tomorrow

Y/n got up and went to his room that he shared with his sisters. Y/n quietly entered the room and went to his futon and sleep. The next day, he did his normal day routine, such as helping his mother, playing with his siters. But at night, he begins his first day of training on being a demon slayer with his father.
