Warning: Physical Abuse (minor but its there)

Kailee

I haven't spoken to Mikael in 4 days. I am just so upset about this whole situation. Not even because I'm here against my will, but because of my family. They looked damn near ready to fall of the cliff of insanity.
I just can't get over what happened.

-Flashback-

A few days have passed since the "incident". Mikael has been in that room almost all hours of the day.

I've stayed in my "room" mostly. Just looking at his face reminds me of that day. He's been so entrances with what he's doing, it almost scares me. He seems to be after someone.

I write another line on the wall. Just like they do in prison. That's what this feels like; prison.

I crept downstairs after finishing my daily routine of counting how many days I've been here.

Mikael looked irritated as he hooked up...a tv? He looked ready to burn the directions. It was a 62 inch Roku that looks like the one from home.
He threw the papers, running his fingers through his hair.

"Mikael?"

He looked over at me. "Girl." He said acknowledging me. I hate when he says that. I have a name.

"Why do you call me that? I do have a name." I frowned. He matched my frown.

"Kailee. Please call me Kailee."
I asked hugging myself. Him calling me girl makes this kidnapping even worse. If I die, I want my name to be buried In his head.

"Kailee." He said. His emotionless voice still present.

"Thank you, now what are you doing?" I asked. I plopped down on the couch.

"I need to set this up to see the paper."

The paper? Is he talking about the news?
Wait, this gives me a little insight on what's going on. Do my parents know I'm missing?

"It's called the news and all you have to do is sign into the wifi and go to the news app." I said. He looked so lost it was almost cute. Did I just call him cute?

"Fix it." He demanded. I rose an eyebrow at his demand.
Calm down kailee. This will give you some insight on what the outside world knows about my kidnapping.

I didn't say anything, I just set I up without him complaining. When I finally got I on the app I pushed the one that's live.

I sat back on the couch intently watching it. What I didn't notice was Mikael giving me looks every once in a while.

The news woman talked about many things but only one thing caught my eye. My parents and my brother.

My dad held my mother in his arms and she tried to hold back tears. My brother just looked at the ground with anger and sadness. My dad looks so heartbroken. I was always a Daddy's girl....

Tears flowed freely as I watched them beg for whoever had me to return me.  They even offered money for me to be returned alive.

"Please return our baby." My mom sobbed. The camera went back to the reporter.

I couldn't take it anymore. I ran upstairs, shutting the door and sliding down on the wall. Sitting there crying my eyes out. I heard Mikael's heavy boots walking towards my "room". He knocked on my door before opening it. He looked over at me. He held a small emotion in his eyes which surprised me, but I'm too upset to even look at him. My parents are suffering because of him.

"I hate you!" I said.

He didn't say anything, he just stood there. He watched me in my moment of dispair, just standing there watching. Almost like he enjoyed my pain.
