Eventful Mornings

The next morning Grayson had to go to a meeting or something. Annie did not understand why Grayson had to go but not Jace. She knew her sirs worked together but she honestly had no idea what they did for work. She also knew that it was typical to be given some time off when given a new sub so that all the involved parties could get acquainted with each other.

"Do you have to go, sir?" Annie asked sending puppy dog eyes in his direction. Jace was on a run and Annie and Grayson had been cuddled in Grayson's bed while Annie read.

"Unfortunately, my dear," Grayson sighed. They had already had this conversation the night before.

"But usually doms are given time off, that is what Master Timothy said at the school?"

"We have been over this, sub, I do not want to hear it anymore. Jace will be here all day he has some special things planned including showing you your second playroom."

"It's not fair, Grayson!" Annie said before freezing.

"Listen here, I told you that I had to work. Bend over. Hands on your knees. Legs spread." Grayson growled. Annie knew she was going to get it and though she was a bit excited she also knew that calling a dom by their name was a very serious thing to do. Especially when the sub was new.

Annie would soon learn that Grayson was never far from a flogger (his weapon of choice). Before she knew it he had a flogger in hand and was growled "Count" at her.

Slap. "one"

Slap. "two"

Slap. "three"

Slap. "f-four"

Slap. "five"

A single tear rolled down Annie's cheek. It was nowhere near the punishment she thought she had been about to get and she looked back at Grayson with questioning, wide eyes.

"I- Don't expect it every time," Grayson said defeated. He put the flogger down and pulled Annie up from the position she was still bent over in. She whimpered as she fell into his chest.

"I'm sorry, sir," she said turning her head a bit so she could give him a small kiss on his chest.

"I know you are frustrated, Annie. You have every right to be." Grayson looked down at the small girl in his arms, "I know you have a lot of questions about what Jay and I do and I promise they will be answered." Annie nodded against his chest. "Part of the reason I am heading out for a bit also has to do with what Jace has planned for you today, Sweets."

Annie looked up with her eyebrows stitched together and her lips pursed. This was not the first time they had mentioned that Jace had something specific planned for her, but neither of her sirs was letting her know what that something was.

Grayson smirked and said, "Well you have officially made me late you little minx," Annie giggled. Grayson leaned down and kissed her deeply. Annie moaned a bit as she leaned into the kiss.

After a minute or two, Grayson pulled back, gave Annie a peck on the forehead, sternly said "be good," and disappeared out the door.

Annie wasn't alone long before thunder started rumbling in the distance. She tried to ignore it and for a while, she was pretty successful as she got ready for her day with Jace not that she knew what that entailed. All she knew was that he had set out a short purple dress with white bows adorning the hem for her to wear.

She began to wonder where Jace was and like always when she begins to wonder, her mind goes to a dark place. What if he had left? What if he didn't want her anymore? Was this too much for him? What if he was lost? Hurt? Struck by lightning? In the hospital? Dead?!?

She sent him a text on the phone she had gotten from her sirs asking where he was. He didn't respond. She walked into his room hoping to cuddle with his pillow that smelled just like the books and linen she now associated with him and saw that he had left his phone on the table. Knowing that he had no way of reaching him only made her panic rise.

She did not want to bother Grayson barely an hour after he left, but she knew they would be mad if they found out she hadn't told someone.

Her one-word text 'pink' was enough for an almost instantaneous phone call from her dom.

"Annie?" Grayson said voice flustered. Annie tried to answer at the same time as thunder rolled by and all that came out was a terrified squeak.

"Is Jace not back yet? God, I bet he left his phone too didn't he? What a dumbass." Grayson said exasperated with his friend.

"Listen, Annie," Grayson said his voice evening out, "I know the storm is loud, but if you go to the room across from yours there is a little sitting room. No windows. You will not be able to hear or see the storm from there. Go now pet,"

There was a minute of silence that Grayson was nervous to fill. Followed by the quietest "I'm there" Grayson had ever heard.

"Good girl, Annie. You are doing great sweetie. Is that why you are pink, because of the storm?"Grayson implored, concern seeping into every word.

"Jace" Annie whispered.

"I promise he is ok Annie, he ran past where we work not too long ago, ok? He is on his way home. I want you to stay on the phone with me until he is there though," Grayson said.

"You're working," Annie said feeling calmer, but still on edge.

"You are more important than anything I could be doing, but if it makes you feel better we were just about to take a quick break."

"It does," Annie said

"Where are we, Annie girl?" Grayson questioned

"Light pink"

"Good girl. Deep breaths for me ok" Annie took several deep breaths. Grayson took a moment between each one to praise her and call her a good girl.

"What color, Annie?"

"Neutral"

"Good girl. Stay on the phone sweetheart just in case" Grayson said.

They talked for a minute or two before Annie heard footsteps followed by the call of her name. Jace walked in a few seconds later. "Annie girl what are you doing in here? Who are you talki- What's wrong?!?!" Jace, seeing the frazzled look on Annie's face, rushed over.

"Give him the phone, Annie," Grayson said. Annie handed the phone over and listened to one half of a conversation.

"Hey Gr-"

"What?" Jace pulled Annie close to him kissing her forehead and stroking her hair trying to calm her more.

"Oh God,"

"I know. I know"

"I will."

"She what?!" Jace shot Annie a surprised yet disapproving look and Annie realized that the subject must have changed. Jace Chuckled "Our little spitfire"

"Yeah, Yeah" Jace hung up the phone and hugged Annie more fully.

"So, we've had an eventful morning" Jace declared smirking down at Annie.
