Twenty-Three

*Dakotas Pov*

I woke up and felt warm. Max was in front of me and I had my arms around him. I softly moved my arms away from him and rolled to the edge of my bed to sit. I grabbed my phone.

Dang it must not of charged. I got up and grabbed some clothes and headed down stairs to shower. When I walked in max was still asleep. He was on his back and his neck was at a weird angle.

I walked over and started kissing his neck. He slowly started to wake up as I started sticking softly. He moaned and grabbed shirt. I pulled back.

"Good morning." I said softly. He slowly opened his eyes and started smiling goofishly. "We have to get you home. But I also got to do some running around so I'll probably text you farther on today." I slowly started gathering my stuff and he went to get a shower and whatever he may of had.

Once I dropped him off I headed out. I had to get groceries, talk to a banker since my checks haven't came in and then I want to go spend time at the lake. It was always calm there.

*Max's POV*
I walked in the house and nathan was on the phone with my therapist.

"Yes we will be there as soon as he gets ho-. He's here we will be there soon. Yep. Yep. Alright thank you Dr.stravenghart."  Dr.stravenghart? That's a strange name. I've never heard a name like that. And it sound weird like its pronounced
straah-ven-g-heart.
Like who thinks of that. Who thought that was a good last name. Where do last names come from? I surely wouldn't choose that last name.

"Come on max. We have to get going. We have to get this done and then you have an hour session. You guys won't be doing as much in this one but it will be worth it in the end hopefully. I want this to work. And its $20 per session and you have 4 session per month. Every Sunday  today is the first.

The office was weird. As soon as you walk in to the left was a short ended wall with a unisex bathroom around the turn and then along that was a large span of windows. and then to fill in space was 4 rows of chairs and 3 doors along the walls. I dont know where they lead. I went and sat down pulling my phone out. Nathan had started a conversation with the lady at the desk.

After 10 minutes of boring sitting some reddish brunette haired lady came out. "Max? This way please. Your guardian can come with if wanted." I tapped nathan and stood up. He followed.

She lead us down a hall. Took a left turn and down 4 doors. She opened the door and it was just a room with foggy bumpy crystal windows, 5 chairs, (2 chairs in front of the desk and 3 in the corner) 1 roller chair, and a desk with to much stuff.

"
So if you have a phone I would like you to turn it off till we are done. Lete talk about ourselves just to get to know each other."

~1 hour and 45 minutes later~

So to end our conversation I would like to thank you for working with me. I do want to try putting you on 3 meds. They may make you tired. If they do a 30 minute nap is all that is needed. And 2 of them are for depression. The other is for anxiety. If you have any problems or questions during the duration of taking them you can call our office people or my cell that you have." She said standing up handing Nathan 3 packets explaining each pill and its purpose.

After a few minutes we were released. I had a app on my phone that she set up to remind me the night before my appointment.

Once me and nathan got back on the road I powered my phone on. It had 3 missed calls and 2 texts. They all were from Dakota. And the texts said:

'Hey are you okay? I was a little hurried to get you out and I feel bad'

'Would you like to go out to dinner with me. I wanna treat you to a night out.'

I smiled wide and Nathan definitely noticed.

"Who's got you in a good mood?" He was poking fun at me.

I just smiled more and said, "Can I go to dakotas tonight. He wants to take me to dinner as an apology for having to leave so fast today." He said yes and after getting my meds he dropped me off.

When I walked up to the door there was an envelope with my name on it and said open. I opened it. Inside was a light blue index card. In bold letters it read "dear max. Your on an adventure inside are clues to help you to your next destination. We'll start off easy. "You come to me when your hungry but leave when satisfied."

The kitchen! I walked to the kitchen and found another with a candy bar and ice coffee from Starbucks; a basket was beside it. I picked up the note from the basket.
"Use me to hold your gifts,
Here's your second clue. During the day or in the night you can sit with me or 3 and watch the as time flies by."

I read it over and over. I can sit alone or by my sel...  THE LIVING ROOM!  I took off towards the living room. I saw in front of the TV was 3 dozens of roses, a BIG heart chocolate and a beautiful transgender necklace.

I picked up the letter. "You use me to move against gravity"
I immediately knew this one. It was the stairs. I walked up stairs and opened the door. He was by his bed, a petal of Rose's along the ground. Red candles creating a path. He was holding a sign in a tux and a crown. The sign said "be my prince forever and go to prom with me." He had a crown on the ground in front of him and it there was a (fake) fur Cape. I cried and set the basket down as I walked to him. He set the sign off to the side;picked up the cape and crown and draped it on me. "Will you go to prom with me?" He gave me a doopy goofy smile. "Yes!" I said through my ugly cry. He hugged me, picked me up, put me on the bed and hugged me the rest of the night.

ONE THOUSAND ONE HINDRED AND FORTY FOUR (1,144) WORDS! If that's not a update I dont know what is.  I hope yall accept this as a apology for being late. NO MORE UPDATE DATES. I'll just update when I can. Sorry guys. Hope you liked this chapter
