Chapter 5: the Cafe

      They arrived at the local mall and inside of it was so lively and crowded by a lot of people buying, looking and one guy Emma saw was shop-lifting a knife at a kitchen store beside her wearing a white hoodie. She couldn't see his face clearly. He's wearing a black mask that covered his mouth, his skin looked pale and his hair were unkept. Maybe he's a homeless guy trying to steal a knife for cutting vegetables at home thought Emma. She just ignore it and continue on her search. 

     She looked at the advertisement to see where the cafe was located while she was searching for the cafe, Brian was telling Emma a joke about valentine day. " What flower you couldn't give on valentine's day? Cauliflower!!" he said, laughing but Emma was too focused on searching for the cafe and didn't hear what Brian was saying.

     Brian noticed it but he was to afraid to admit it; apart from people watching him because he laughed so loud and the entire mall heard him. He stayed quiet after that, at Emma's side until she found the cafe. After searching for awhile, she finally found the cafe. With the name that was taken from an anime ' Mew Mew Cafe'(who remembered what anime is it?) . Emma went in and went straight to the cashier at the corner of the cafe but she have to wait in line for awhile because the cafe was crowded with customers. Brian just tag along behind Emma looking down his feet, feeling embarrassed for what he did before.

    The girl on the cash register  that have a cute smile on her face with blond hair that was tied into a pigtail, wearing a maid outfit with cat ears "Welcome to Mew Mew Cafe!I'm Mika. What can I help you miss? " she said with a smile carved on her face. Emma showed Mika the  advertisement. "You wanna work here?!" Mika exclaimed. Emma nodded. Mika smiled at her and yelled "HEY GUYS! WE HAVE A NEW GIRL!!". All the girls with the same maid outfit  at the cafe looked at Emma who's standing in front of the counter, cheered in excitement for they got another worker at their cafe.

 Mika POV

     As I was about to ask the new girl's name, I noticed someone was tagging along from her back. As I looked closely, I realized it was my own annoying brother! "Brian?! What the hell are you doing here? We've talked about this! Don't go to my work place if I didn't ask you to." "So what?! It wouldn't hurt if I just came to visit my kawaii little sister." he said with a smile I really hated on his face. 

     " You're freaking otaku personality and life really pissed me off. You're the reason why I work here at the first place. "

     " I can't  help it alright? I'm a No.1 fan of Tokyo Mew Mew okey?! And this is PUUUURRfect for my tsundere little sister."

     "Well then, why don't you be the one who work here? And i'm not a tsundere. What does that even mean?!"

    " I'd want to but this cafe only accepts female, no males."

     " Curse you, your freaky fanboying vibes and this cafe."

     I ignore my brother or things gonna get more worse than this. I grab the new girl arm and i noticed she was holding a cat. I got excited! " Aww what a cute cat! What's her name new girl?" I asked while I patted its head. "Amy" she said with a blank face. Not even a smile carved on her face. What's wrong with her? An anti-social? Maybe? " How about you? "I asked her name again because earlier, I was too busy arguing with my brother. I didn't even hear her say her name because we are too loud. "Emma." she said with the same face when I asked her cat name. Yup, she's an emotionless person, not really a talkative person. Well at least her cat is cute.

    I brought her into the manager office above the cafe since this cafe desperately needs a new waitress as I leave my brother  at the cash register. Maybe he's flirting with the workers there by now. I entered my manager's office and I introduce Emma to my manager, Mr Dan and asked him if she can work here. It took awhile for him to respond my question as he scanned Emma head to toe like he's a pervert who just found his today's victim.  " Sure but on one condition." " What is it?" I asked, curious for what he's gonna say about THE CONDITION. Might be important I guess 

      "She can work here right away if she wanted to but before that I want her to wear this cafe official maid outfit at the locker room behind the kitchen on locker No.23. After that, come here to sign the papers." 

     " Can't she do it now? It'll be more quicker."

     " No. This is an order. Now go!"

     " Yes boss" I said as I rolled my eyes. What a bother. As I was about to get out from his office, he called me. " Wait Miko!" " It's Mika" I said correcting his mistake for calling me with a different disgusting name. " Yeah whatever, that cat Emma's holding stays here until she's finished  changing her outfit."" Yeah Alright!!" I yelled. I asked Emma if she can leave Amy here, gladly she nodded as a sign of an agreement.

     After leaving Amy at his office, I brought Emma to the locker room and gave her the outfit in locker No.23. I waited her outside the locker room while she's changing her outfit. After waiting for several minutes, she finally came out and she looked freaking cute with that outfit. 

      I told Emma to go to the manger's office right away and I go back to work with my annoying brother. Why can't my life be more worse than this? Wait. It's already worse as I saw my brother smirked at me at the cash register.
