horse book 1- It happens in a blink

Arabella

Sherry assured me everything was okay and asked me to get started. As we warmed up I could really feel Nevada working hard and trying. He eventually got into a frame and was looking very nice. Sherry wanted to see his jump so she set up a little line for us to try, the first time Nevada stopped right in front of it. The other girls started to laugh at me and whisper, sherry told them to hush but they didn't really listen. We went for try number two and he popped right over and continued and popped over the second one as well. I cooled him out for a little while and once he was done I rode him back to the barn. Anna had felise tacked up ready to go for a ride. After I finished brushing Nevada I found his paddock and turned him out. After a little while of watching him and his new friends I decided to go ask sherry what I could do.
"Anything you need help with?"
"Actually yes, we just got a new lesson horse and I would like you to ride her in the six o'clock lesson. She's in the boarders barn last stall on the left."
" okay thank you I will go get her ready!"
Once I got to the barn I went to her stall and read her halter "Old Fury" her nameplate said. On her stall card it said Arabella, she was a gorgeous chestnut mare with four white socks and a thin white stripe. All her stuff was already out so I brushed her and braided her mane just for fun. It was almost six so I started tacking her up. I couldn't help but notice all her nice stuff!
I walked her out of the barn and into the lesson ring where sherry, Ashely and Isabel were waiting. As soon as Ashely saw me she started screaming, I couldn't hear what it was about until I got closer but she was asking Sherry why I had her horse. I looked at sherry and she just nodded at me so I continued to walk into the arena.
"I would like miss Ali to show you how to ride this horse."
"I know how to ride my own horse!"
"Well then do it."
Ashley jumped of her dark bay and snatched Arabella's reins from my hand. She got on and jammed her spur into Bella's sides. Bella started to act up and all Ashley did was smack her and spur her. The horse was getting more and more angry every time. Eventually Arabella was so mad she reared up and Ashley pulled on her face causing her to flip backwards. Ashely got up and stormed out leaving Bella on the ground. Sherry approached her slowly not wanting to spook her.
"Ali go call the vet now."
"Is everything okay?"
"I just need you to go call the vet"
I ran as fast as I could to the barn. When I went to find a phone Ashely was just staring at me watching my every move. I got to the phone and started dialling the number.
