The vet was at the farm within 30 minutes and everyone was in a panic. When the vet got to the arena we had Bella untacked and relaxed. The vet started to feel her legs and decided to take x-rays to see what kind of damage was done. Bella's legs were clean but she had a lot of swelling in the back right and the vet said she required a lot of down time and stall rest. Ashley called her dad and said she wanted to sell her because she was dangerous and unrideable.

"You should think about what your doing Ashley, Arabella is a very talented horse and she could take you far" Sherry said.

"She's just a stupid horse who will never be good enough for me. She will be gone to the first buyer who will take her" Ashley replied

Ashley's father walked in to evaluate the horse and figure out what happened. Ashley told her dad the complete opposite of the truth so he agreed she should be sold. It was very heart breaking to see how some horse people could be and take their horses for granted. I went back to the barn to give Nevada a good brushing and tell him how grateful i was that i had him. When Ana came back from her ride i filled her in on what had happened and the Bella was going to be sold. After i finished with Nevada i put him away in his stall and my grandmother came to pick Ana and I up.

All i could think about that night was what was going to happen to poor Bella, what kind of sane person would buy a lame horse? But knowing Ashley she would not even tell the buyer and hype her up on bute. I had a lesson early the next morning and then would continue to work all day until my next lesson at 3pm. It was 10:00 so i decided i should go to bed and watch a movie, of course i chose my favourite horse movie; Dreamer.

I woke up to my alarm at 6:30 and got dressed in a pair of grey breeches with a salmon polo and a bling belt. I went down stairs to make myself breakfest and a lunch, i decided to have toast with jam and make a ham sandwich for lunch. My mom drove me to the barn for 7:15, i thanked her and walked into the barn. As i turned on the lights all the horses started to nicker at me for their breakfest which they didnt get until 8. I wanted to see how Bella was doing so i walked to her stall only to my suprise she was gone. I started to panic on where she might have gone and why she sold so fast. Even her stuff in the tack room was gone, while i was in there i got out Blue's stuff. Blue was a beautiful blue roan (hence the name) appendix gelding. He was 9 years old and was showing hunters with his owner until she went away for school. By the time i got all his stuff out Sherry was in the barn and was doing her own thing. I wanted to ask about Bella but i knew it wasn't my business. When Sherry saw me she greeted me with a hello.

"Don't you want to know where Bella is?" Sherry asked
