Cassie stared at the passing scenery, her mind still faraway not really paying attention, a light pat on her knee, brought her out of her deep thoughts, "We are almost there...Dearie. I just need to make a stop along the way, if you don't mind?" Jane, Gran's daughter spoke, smiling at her gently.

Cassie smiled back, only nodding her head, then looking back out of the cab's window, her thoughts in turmoil, not really caring where they went.

"We are here..." Jane spoke, getting out of the cab, telling the cab driver to keep the meter running and to wait for them, "Come along dear, this won't take long."

Cassie stepped out of the cab, taking in her surroundings, her gaze following Jane, as the old lady made her way down a pathway. Shrugging, she followed, it wasn't like she was in a rush to get back to the cabin.

It had been two days, since she left town, her heart broken, she had fallen in the trap of letting a man get to her again and she was nowhere near ready to confront him.

Slumping her shoulders in defeat, she followed Jane quietly. Only to stop and stare, as they came upon a sight, leaving her breathless, staring at the beautiful scenery before her in awe, the river meandering below them, they were standing near a cliffs edge, looking out towards the vast expanse before them, "Beautiful..." She murmured quietly.

"Yes it is..." A voice she recognized spoke out, making her whirl around so fast, almost losing her footing, when she was safely caught in his warm embrace, "Careful...can't lose you." Cole stated, placing a kiss on her forehead.

Coming out of her shock, she wrenched herself away from Cole, "No...you can't do this!" Tears running down her cheeks, "I'm not anyone's plaything!"

Cole stepped forward, only to stop when she stepped away from him, wincing slightly at her action, "Please...give me a chance to explain...it was all a misunderstanding." He urged, hoping she will listen and come quietly.

She glanced around her, wanting to escape, only noting then, that Jane was nowhere to be seen. It was only her and Cole there, she needed time to compose herself, she wasn't ready to confront Cole yet, looking around frantically for an escape route...

Cassie reminded him of a horse that was spooked, not that he would say that out loud, knowing she would kick his ass. So he only came up with one solution and that was to take her by surprise, grabbing her in a fireman's hold and carrying her towards his home nearby...

Taking a moment to realize what had happened, she began to hit Cole's back, "Put me down...you big oaf!" She shouted, hitting him again.

Only to gasp when he smacked her bottom,"Stay still woman...:" He growled out.

Cassie defied him and hit him again, receiving another smack on her bottom, stilling her.

Finally reaching the house, Cole walked towards the lounge, unceremoniously dumping Cassie on the sofa, taking a step back, knowing that her claws were going to come out and he would be in the firing line.
