I growled at the man in front of me, who kept me locked up here for my 14 years of living as he entered my cage with my food.

"Calm down." He snapped at me, putting the bowl onto the floor, "Don't make me have to whip you again."

I beared my fangs and growled again, he simply rolled his eyes, "Do you want to starve, cause I'll gladly let that happen."

I closed my mouth and watched him silently, waiting for him to leave me alone in my cage. I need to eat since he left me with no food for five days now and I'm about to lose it.

"That's more like it." He turned and slammed the gate closed, locking it. He walked off, whistling as the rest of the dogs barked at him, hungrily.

I huffed and crawled on my bruised hands and knees towards my bowl, out of my corner and started eating my afternoon snack, which is leftover chicken.

Once I reached the bone, I picked it up and started licking the bone clean, getting as much as chicken as I could get off.

When I finished it, I chewed the bone a few times and dropped it back into my bowl and crawled back to my corner.

There isn't much in my cage, just some old blanket I can sleep on and a bowl of bad water.

Right now, the collar around my neck is attached to the wall by a chain, because I once attacked the man and nearly escaped. Now I can't even reach out the gate without nearly suffocating myself. I'm wearing a torn black shirt and long jeans, but at the ends it's damaged. I own no shoes so I'm always barefoot.

I flinched when I heard the door of the building opened upstairs, letting me know someone entered. This place is supposed to be an animal rescue for some dogs that attack or kill, but I don't really think that's true, ever since I came they treated me like crap.

I licked the wound on my arm, whimpering softly. Getting myself comfortable on my blanket I stared at the wall in front of me as I heard footsteps walk down the stairs.

I hope I get picked today...

I yawned and turned my head to the human standing at my gate, looking disgusted by me. I just smirked at the human, showing my fangs and they walked on.

Nevermind. That human has so much perfume, a wolf on the other side of the world can smell it as if it's right in front of them.

I sighed, wishing again to be normal.

My wolf ears perked up when I heard the door open again, another customer.

The dogs started barking all at once as the human made their way down the stairs, the human eyeing each of them with admiration.

I shouldn't get my hopes up so I continued to stare at the wall, noticing the perfume human's scent disappearing till I heard the door, perfume human left the building with the white dog who's been here for 4 months only, hearing her bark, I'm better than you all!

"Hey! Ben!" The man banged on my gate with his whip.

I shot him a glare and sat up, looking at both him and the human.

The human is a man with hair and a strong look in his eyes, jeans and a boomer jacket and tekkies. He looks like he's in his thirties.

"This one is a piece of trash. He isn't much but he can bite." The man said to the customer, "Found him killing some guy, he's dead now though. The government don't know he's part human so I trust you won't say anything."

He said that last part, taking out his gun and wiping it with a cloth.

"Its perfect. How much?" The customer said, not bothered by the gun.

The man frowned, "He's trash. I got others to offer. Why him?"

"That's none of your business. Also, if you don't  give me it, I will put a bullet through you head." The customer threatened.

The man narrowed his eyes and raised his gun to the customer's chin, "Don't threaten me, sir, but I will make the price high."

The customer smirked and I noticed him patting him on the shoulder, "Name the price then I'll leave you in peace."

The man paled slightly then cleared his throat, lowering the gun, "$500."

"Deal." The customer grabbed the gun from the man and shot him immediately through his forehead.

The dogs barked again and I flinched and pushed myself into the corner, whimpering.

"Hey hey." The customer opened my gate and walked in, "Come here."

I growled at him and he stopped, raising his hands, one still holding the gun, "I'm just freeing you, ok? Though I'm keeping you. The rest of them will be going to a better rescue Ok?"

He took a step closer and I snapped at him, "Stay back!"

He looked surprised, "So you can speak."

I growled at him again, "Why should you care?"

He sighed and dropped the gun next to him and made his way closer to me, slowly, "Listen, kid. I know life was hard being here for so long, but you gotta trust me..."

This time I stood up on my feet, raising my palms at him, "Why? You just gonna keep me as a pet!"

My nails started growing longer as I forced my claws out, snarling.

"I won't treat you like a pet! I'll teach you to be human or normal! Can you calm down!? You eyes are glowing a weird red." He yelled at me.

I started breathing heavily, then swayed on my feet. Feeling nauseous, I rubbed my eyes, "Go away..."

The customer looked at me concerned, "Kid, you look sick, lemme help."

I shook my head, making me get a rapid headache. My nails shortened as I clutched my head and yelled, "I said go away!"

The customer ignored me and pushed me to the ground, forcing me to sit, "What's the last thing you ate?"

"Chicken." I answered weakly.

"Know how old the chicken was?"

"It was icky." I replied, feeling the urge to throw up.

"Food poisoning." He kneels in front of me, feeling my forehead, "And you freezing cold."

I blinked, my vision going blurry, "Don't touch me."

"Kid, you're sick. I have to get you outta here."

"Don't... call me... kid..." I felt my breaths going into short shallow ones.

He shook his head and took something out his pocket, he sticked something sharp into my neck and removed it.

He injected me with something.

"What...?"

"I'm sorry, but I'm going to forcibly put you to sleep and get you fixed up. You'll thank me later, wolf boy." His voice fading as my eyelids slowly close.

"I hate you..." I said before I felt myself slip into a deep sleep.
