Jordan: Thinking Out Loud

I was just chilling in my office when my phone starts ringing. Bryan is calling me. He almost never calls me. I answer immediately.

"What's up Bryan?"
"Can you please come to the Edge Space? Someone here has a question for you."

"Yeah, just let me tell Mike where I'm going. He needs me later today to record with ROZE."

"Alrighty. See you soon."

I get up and head to Mike's office. I see his door is closed so I politely knock on the door.

"Come in!"

"Hey Mike, Bryan just called me and said that someone at the Edge Space has a question for me so I have to head over there for a bit. I'll call you when I'm on my way back since I know you want me to record with Cat today. Is that okay?"

"Of course y/n. I wonder who has a question for you."

"Same. Because normally they would just text me the question. Maybe this person doesn't have my number."

"Maybe, you should get going. Don't want to keep this person waiting."

I head out to my car. I think about the last thing Mike said. He said it like he knows who has a question for me. I wipe the thought when I pull into the parking lot. I text Bryan that I'm here. He comes out and takes me inside. He takes me to the smaller warehouse and has me wait there. I decide to sit on the ground because whoever Bryan went to get is taking forever. I'm about to leave when I hear two people walk into the smaller warehouse. I can tell one is Bryan by his voice. I don't recognize the other voice but it sounds familiar. When they walk into the warehouse, I stand up.

"Y/n why were you sitting on the ground?"
"You were taking forever Bryan."

"Fair. Jordan here was starting to chicken out of something he truly wanted to do before you came here."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah and now I'm going to leave you two alone."

Bryan leaves and Jordan looks even more nervous than when he walked in. He walks closer to me and takes my hand.

"Y/n do you know that there is a party tomorrow that all of Hi5 and Team Edge has been invited to?"

"I do. Why do you ask?"
"I was wondering if you wanted to be my date?"

"I'd be honored to be your date. What time should I be ready by?"

"Uhm how about 5? Since the party starts at 6."

"I can do that. What's your number so I can text you my address?"

Jordan and I exchange numbers and I head back to Red Base to record the song with ROZE and Mike. When I get back to Red Base, Mike is waiting for me in the lobby.

"Hey Mike. Am I late? If I am, I'm so sorry. The question took longer than I thought."

"You're not late. Cat had to leave early, Jacob needed her to help him with something."

"Oh, so do you want me to record my part now? Or do you want me to wait until she is here on Monday?"

"We can record your part now. That way on Monday I don't have to pull you from helping Matt with other things around the office. Let's go."

We head to Mike's office aka the recording studio. When we get there I notice something odd. Cat's office door is open. Whenever she isn't here it's always shut. Wait. Mike never waits for someone as soon as they walk in the door. As soon as I walk past the open office door I'm surprised by a confetti canon going off from her office. I jump and shriek. When I jump I close my eyes and run into the wall between Cat and Bellet's offices. I hit the wall with a thud and drop to the ground holding my head. Mike is immediately at my side.
