Luke's POV
When I heard Charlie's plan I was a little bit nervous that things won't go as planned... But I still trust and believe in her... we started walking down the stairs.. Charlie stopped walking at the end of the stairs.. She turned around and smiled... I saw tears fall from her eyes... I was breaking looking at her crying... "Charlie, babe are you ok?" I say slowly as I walk up to her grabbing her hand.... "Yes of course, I am just remembering all of the good things that have happened here" Charlie said smiling slightly, "well we need to get going, how far is Penelope's house from here" I ask her slowly dragging her away from the front steps... "About an hour walk if we hurry" Charlie said pointing down the road, "if we had a car it would take 20 minutes" Charlie explained... I start looking around everywhere, hoping to find a car somewhere.... "It's all empty, there is not a car in sight" Ashton sighs looking around... "That's it!!" Charlie says and runs back up the stairs, she bursts open the door and I run after her.... When I run inside I go towards the kitchen seeing her looking at what looked like a coat rack??... Hmm she pulled off a pair of keys and ran down the stairs and into the garage.... There was a car in the garage... "Yesterday before this all started my brother said he was gonna fill up the tank... I guess he didn't get to it, but the half full tank will get us there" Charlie said pressing the garage opener.... The boys and Penelope are all standing in front of the garage door.... "Everyone get in" Charlie yells getting in the drivers seat... I get in the passenger seat and look over at Charlie... Everyone is squished in the back so I grab Penelope and put her on my lap in the front... Charlie pulls out and turns down the street going rather fast down the road, dodging any debri in the road... "charlie!! babe can you slow down??" i yell kind of scared of what will happen if she doesnt slow down.. "no the faster we get there, the more chances we have of saving the food in there and getting there before any of those zombies do" charlie says as calmly as she could, after about 5 minutes of very very fast driving, charlie finally slows down and pulls into a large house. "alright luke, ashton, me and niall will go in there and check for any of those things... michael you will stay with penelope in the car, lock the doors because those things might be smarter than you think... stay here till we come back.." charlie says. "alright lets go" i say jumping out of the car and running up to the front door. i open the door but quietly because there could be anything in there. when we walked in me and charlie were in the front, knives ready to stab whatever came into sight....Charlie stopped moving, she tugged at my arm telling me to stop. I watch her grab a vase that was near us, she throws it across the room and listened... There were a few moans and groans so we waited... Soon about 6 zombies walked in and looked around, i mean i dont know what they are doing like maybe sniffing the air... They started walking rather fast towards us.... charlie was the first to attack... she already had 2 down when i jumped into action and killed 1, ashton and niall got the last three.. "alrighty, tha-" i was cut off by a loud crashing sound coming from upstairs.... "niall go get michael and penelope "i say slowly as me and charlie and ashton walk up the stairs slowly heading towards the sound... we got to a door, there was some rustling around... charlie put her fingers up counting down from 3... "NOW" i kicked down the door what stood in front of me was unexpected..... a young gilr with brown hair, blue eyes was standing up straight pointing a fully loaded 22 pistol.... "who are you" she said, her voice shaking slightly. "im charlie, this is luke my boyfriend... and behind us is ashton.." charlie spoke calmly as she slowly started walking up to her... "who are you" i ask slowly putting my knife down....."I'm aubrey"
