Lights, Show, Action! (Part 2)

Zach's POV

I awoke in a well lit room with three or four doctors surrounding me. Pain was spreading across my body but I didn't say a word. As the doctors saw my light sea blue eyes, they explained that I got stabbed in the chest 5 times and that they couldn't find Dan or Maxx. But Cody was well and in the other room next to me.

The doctors kept checking me every 30 minutes seen as I'm not really meant to be alive. But as the doctor left the room, I saw a familiar face at the door. Smiling at the blue haired person, I slowly sat up and yelped in pain. Cody quickly rushed over and panicked "What's wrong? Zach?" Mumbling "I'm fine.. it just hurts a little when I get up.."

Cody looked scared, I feel like he was panicking a lot seen as two of his best friends are missing and I'm here in a hospital bed. "Would you like anything to eat? Or drink?" Cody said. I smiled but said "No thanks I'm good." Cody soon made his way towards the chair by me he mumbles softly "I thought i was going to lose you Zach.."

A tear fell down my cheek as I was talking "Don't.. I'm fine. I'm here and very much alive. We just need to find Dan and Maxx but they will be safe don't worry about it." Cody shook his head "What if they aren't Zach! What if they got stabbed to death? It's not like your fine either. The doctors said I should have no hope... no hope that you should still be alive..." He rest his head on the edge of the hospital bed and began to form soft tears. "Cody..I'm.." I got cut off by Cody shouting "I swear Zach if you say your fine again!"

Looking at Cody, I sighed "Fine Cody.. I'm in pain and you are too. Maybe not the same pain as me but your still in pain. Everyone is. Nobody expected this to happen." I softly mumbled. Cody looked at me "Zach.." he quickly said with a panicked look in his eyes. He was pointing at my heart monitor which was rapidly decreasing.

Softly I held his hand and looked into his eyes while saying "Look after yourself Cody. Make sure you find Dan and Maxx." Cody's eyes broke down into a million tears "Zach! Don't go! I need you..." Quickly Cody ran outside my room yelling "Doctors! Nurses! Someone.. help.." As the doctors rushed into the room, my eyes felt heavy and slowly I difted off to sleep.

CODY'S POV

I yelled at the top of my lungs for someone to help Zach out. They came rushing in, while I was waiting for an answer. "I'm really sorry..But he is gone" one of the doctors said. I stood in fear while another doctor said "We will leave you be for a few minutes." They left the room. I looked at Zach, while tears formed in my eyes and ran down my face onto my cold cheeks. I was alone...

After 10 minutes the doctors came in and said I needed to leave. So I went home still heart broken and emotional. But Mateo and Shay helped me through the pain.

ZACH'S POV (A few years later)

As soon as I left Cody, I joined back with Dan who explained the whole story to me. Dan said that we were the only ones who got hurt and Maxx was fine but he wondered the streets alone. Until the police found out that he was missing, they took him back with Cody. It was nice to see the smile on Cody's face when Maxx was at the door.

We miss them as much as they miss us. But we watch over them almost every day. However it's hard to see them both go to our graves and place flowers over them. But today they left me and Dan a note on our graves.

To Zach and Dan,

A lot has happened since you guys left. Of course I found Maxxie. I feel like you two helped me so thank you. Zach thanks for the hope you gave me. I still miss you both and think about you both every single day. Me and Maxx would see a robin or a white feather falling and automatically know it was either you guys looking over us. I know you two are both watching me and Maxx live our lives. Just remember we never will forget you.

I wanted to hug them as a soft tear began to fall down both of their cheeks. But me and Dan looked at them and smiled to ourselves. But for now we will keep being their guardian angels.
