Pearl stood still, staring blankly into nothing, unaware of the tears running down her face, and her form shaking.
"P-Pearl?..." Spinel spoke.
"O-Oh!- Sorry, Spinel- My apologies, I just-"
"...Hey- What's wrong?" Spinel muttered. She was unsure if that was an okay move, but something was telling her to- Bond. She wanted to see Pearl let down her proper and fancy guard. She- wanted her.
Pearl had never felt this way -that is, since Pink. She took a deep shaky breath, and began to speak.
"I just..." Pink pearl began to sob, "I miss her..."
Spinel was confused, yet in awe. Pearl seemed so happy, and content. She was an adorable and playful gem; but her shattered right eye, and those shiny eyes from crying- it was, shattering.
Spinel reached out her hand to comfort the pearl as she began to speak,"Wh-Who are you?-"
"-Pink diamond!" Pearl shrieked, swatting Spinel's hand away.
Spinel froze at that name.
Pink Diamond...
Pink Diamond. The reason she was made. Her only purpose, her duty and audience. The gem that left her one a garden fo R ₴łӾ ₮ⱧØɄ₴₳₦Đ ɎɆ₳Ɽ₴.
Spinel could feel her rage building up. Her mascara running down her cheeks, polluted with tears.
"Sp-Spinel?..." Pink Pearl muttered. "I'm, I'm so sorry- I don't know what came over-"
"CAN IT!" Spinel screamed.
Pearl flinched at the sudden twist in emotion radiating off of Spinel.
Spinel immediately jerked back. Shocked at herself.
"P-Pearl?..." Spinel stuttered.
"Spinel?" Pearl spoke, tears still falling from her eyes.
An awkward silence sparked between the two- if you don't count the sound of them crying from the mention of Pink.
"We should... Get back to work..." Pearl said quietly in a defeated tone.
"Yes... Let's."
