Adore You

"Thank you! Thank you!" Spinel cheered, hopping down from the stage.
Her act had been going on for six hours. Pearl watched contently, admiring her figure, laughing and clapping, supporting her.
But Pearl was just a face out in the crowd, Spinel would have no reason to notice or think about her.
"Oh, hello Pink! How was it with Spinel? She's such a funny gem," Blue Pearl chuckled.
"Yes, but of course it was a platonic time. Pink, I know you can be quite "charming" with your jobs. Don't want your other eye to go and get cracked now would we?" Yellow Pearl scoffed.
"I-"
"Yellow, stop that! Times have changed, we are all free to love and be happy! And don't be whore-shaming either! And white nor any of the diamonds would do such a cruel and vile thing now," Blue defended.
"Sorry, sorry, jeez..." Yellow said in her nasally tone of voice. "I'm sorry pink, I was only kidding."
Pearl felt her eye's crack expand, but she just smiled, "It's fine! No hard feelings!!"
"Okay- well... Blue, may I have this dance?" Yellow spoke, her face turning a dark orange.
Soon the two were off dancing, smiling and laughing. Happy and in love. Something Pink had wanted, but it failing everytime. Before she could process another thought, something picked her up bridal style.
Pearl was shocked, looking to see who it could be, but seeing it was just a pair of arms she quietly shrieked.
The arms then boomeranged back to the gem, it was Spinel.
"Sorry, but I uh, was wondering if I could have this dance?" Spinel giggled, her face heating up with each breath.
"Oh-! Of course!" Pearl smiled.
Pearl was set down and Spinel wrapped her arms around her waist, leaving Pearl to tightly hold Spinel's shoulders.
Spinel began to speak, "I'm, sorry about earlier. I'm just so- I just-"
"No no! I get it. Hey, y'know, you and me are kinda the same!" Pearl reassured.
Spinel only smiled.
"You remind me of her..." Pearl smiled sadly.
The two backed up a bit, still holding on, to make eye contact.
"You do too... You're sweet and kind and-"
"And you're funny and playful!-"
"And smart, and interesting!-"
"And beautiful!!" Pearl smiled.
The two let go and stared at one another.
"Y-You think I'm beautiful?..." Spinel blushed.
"I uh-" Pearl stuttered, mortified at her comment. She had meant it, of course, but it was so sudden. So scary.
"I think... You're beautiful..." Spinel smiled.
The two connected again, a warm heat became of the two, dancing and laughing. Making a comforting small talk.
About after two hours of dancing, Pearl leaned down into Spinel's shoulder and spoke softly.
"Just let me adore you."
