When I was little I absolutely loved fairy tales, from the films to the many books; all of them were amazing. Everything just seemed to work out so perfectly in the princess's life, sure she always got into danger but her true love was always there to save her and in the end they would share a true love kiss, spending the rest of their lives together. I honestly had a crush on every single prince I saw or read about, I wanted my own prince charming who would love me and then we could spend the rest of our lives together in happiness.
But wait, who was my first real crush who wasn't from my movies or books.
It was Marcus when I was 6, and I have no clue why I even had a crush on him, he was such a jerk to me. But I always seemed to fall for the guy I barely knew. From Joel, Cameron, Daniel, the pet shop guy... I can't really remember the rest. But I guess it doesn't really matter in the end. They weren't up to my standards. A loud ringing sound goes off to the side of me making me groan, I rolled over and tapped the top of the clock stopping the noise. My eyes adjusting slowly to the light coming in through my window I watched for a second not really wanting to get up yet, I had nothing to rush and do so what was the point I thought as I shut my eyes. Pulling the blanket closer around me I sighed nuzzling into it, but I felt too awake to settle back down now. Grumbling I threw the blanket off me feeling the warmth leave me at once. I shuffled to the edge of the bed pulling my hair back behind my ears as I slipped my slippers on. Getting up off the bed I started walking to my bedroom door swinging it open to get to the kitchen. The first thing always on my mind in the morning was coffee. Making it to the kitchen I grabbed a cup adding the coffee and sugar; I turned the machine on while I turned to the fridge for some milk but was frustrated to see none. I closed the fridge door before sighing remembering I hadn't been grocery shopping yet. For now, I'll be ok with black coffee. Carefully picking the cup up by its handle I headed back to my bed sitting in the centre of it with my phone now in my other hand. I click onto social media to see what's new with everyone and of course, the first thing I see is a girl with her arms wrapped around a guy. We get it, he's your man and you're happy. I should just unfollow her already. I flick down a little and see an old school mate, she seems happy now living in Japan; though who cares and I flick the page up to carry on. Though the next post was no better, girls having a night out together having fun. Everyone sucks... Well, all except Ava. I wonder how she's doing lately, especially since her boyfriend moved in with her. Maybe I should text her...? I took a sip of my coffee turning my phone off and laying it on the bed next to me, I'm always the first one to text her. Just as I say that my phone buzzes next to me, I sip my coffee as pick my phone back up looking at it. It's a message from Ava! Swiping my phone open I read her message asking me if I'm up for coffee and a quick catch up, putting my coffee on my side table I quickly reply with an 'ok and where should we met'. After a few more messages and an empty cup of coffee, I took a quick shower before dressing in torn jeans, sandals, a light pink tank top and a white cardigan.
