Leaving home

Ryan had agreed to let Alex come with us, the whole town seemed happy to hear that Alex was leaving, even his foster parents. The peoples lives were going to be better with no Alex destroying the place.
Heading out I gave my parents a big hug, gave all my friends hugs and waved to the rest of the town bye. Alex seemed to have it easier to leave then me or Cole. He didn't have a family but he had a bunch of friends. "Come on, we need to be at least half way by sun down" Ryan says sternly, we all nodded and headed out.
About a hour of walking, Obsidian ran ahead curious I ran after him, surprisingly I met his pace. I heard Ryan yell "Hey! wait up!" Obsidian went into a crouch, staring up ahead with his upped vision, I saw three elk ahead of us, near a small forest. I saw him take a few steps then spring and head after the elk, sprinting towards and taking down one of the three.
Walking over to him I ruffle his fur and heard a purr like sound. Cole, Alex and Ryan finally caught up with us "Seems like your cat has got himself lunch?" Alex ask as Frostbite lands on his shoulder with a small rabbit in his mouth. "Same with your bird" I reply smiling " We will eat as we walk, but don't worry they will catch up." As we agree he hands out some of the food that was stored in his bag.
About another hour past, Frostbite is back on Alex's shoulder but no sign of Obsidian I know he would be fine but I started to worry, Alex must have noticed, so he walked over and took my hand "He'll be back soon, don't worry." I squeezed his hand, as he let's go I notice how much I didn't want him to.
Smiling Cole walked over and said "Yeah he probably just grabbed seconds... wish I could." with that we all three of us laughed, and I noticed how strict Ryan had become, before he would laugh his head off at something like this but now... he just walked forwards "Hey Ryan, can we see Lilia?" Cole ask, and with that a white flash and a small fox had appears. "Aww, she's soo cute!" there goes his girly side again, Alex just rolls his eyes. "Can you grow up now?" Alex says being snarky. "Nope!" Collin says smiling.
Again walking for what seems like ever, you could see the lights starting to dance around in the sky, as dusk grew on, I could tell we were nearing the ocean as we were on ice and there was a salty smell. As we made a camp my thoughts grew back to Obsidian, but I turned around to see him walking up, a little dry blood spattered around his mouth. Ryan starts talking "So, tomorrow we shall be in Eura, it will get a little warmer, but I'm sure Obsidian and Frostbite will be fine." he stated.
With that we all got into our sleeping bags and fell slowly asleep missing our old beds.
