I blinked, and I was jolted out of that nightmare. I was sitting at the table again, staring at the cup of water in my hand, my eyes dry from being open for so long. A door to the left of me opened, and light flooded in. I was taken aback, and had to blink a few more times to get my bearings. How had I never noticed that door before?
In walked a man. He was tall, large, very intimidating, and he was wearing some sort of uniform. He looked at me with disdain. It was the sort of look that makes you squirm in your seat and want to apologize even if you think you've done nothing wrong. At this point though, after going through that hell and being met with the gaze of this man, I had the feeling I actually had done something wrong.
In a deep, stern voice, he said, " You've been found guilty."
"What?"
"You've been found guilty of the murder and drowning of 3 young children."
