* This chapter is hella gay and sexual*

I started to feel my pulse quicken as New York came into view. We had passed through all the grape vineyards along the way. Niall was amazed by the drive since he hadn’t been up north in forever. He said he had been up north when he was little, but couldn’t remember anything from the trip.

“Niall, this is it.” I let out a heavy sigh, relieved to see my city again. It’s been a few months. I wondered if it was the same. Did my world go on without me? “I can show you all of my favorite places.” I said excitedly. “Like this one burger joint down on 26th.” I wiggle in my seat as Niall took the exit towards Staten Island. Hotels were cheaper there and it only cost a small amount to take the ferry into the city.

We parked in one of those daily parking lots and carried out bags with us to the cheapest hotel we could get into with Niall’s fake I.D.  It was like the night before all over again, but with a better room. I fell down to the soft bed and stretched out. It felt so good to finally lay out straight after sitting in a car for two days.

“What do you want to do tonight?” Niall asked me, flopping down the bed with me. “It’s almost dinner time, maybe we can go to that burger place?” I nodded enthusiastically. “Okay, burgers it is.” Niall clapped his hands together and I rolled around on the bed so that my stomach was against the mattress. I yelped when Niall slapped his hands down on my ass. I grumbled and curled into a ball, glaring at Niall.

He smirked at me. “What?” He walked closer, grabbing my leg and pulling it out of my curled position. “N-Niall stop!” Niall crawled on top of me, kissing up my neck and eventually reaching my lips. “I am not food!” I laughed, flailing my arms out onto the bed.

“I’m hungry though.” He leaned in, nibbling my ear lob. Shocks of pleasure ran through my system. “Not for burgers, though.” His tongue licked at my jawline and I shivered. Niall had gotten more confident when it came to these things and I can’t say that I didn’t like it. Though before we could continue anything in that hotel room, both of our stomachs growled terribly.

“Not hungry for burgers, yeah?” I pushed on Niall chest and he got up off the bed. “Come on.” I urged him, slipping my shoes back onto my feet. Niall followed behind me like a puppy.

It was already pretty dark outside, but I knew that the ferry would go to and from the main land at least one more time for the night. Niall checked the time and we were only a few minutes away from missing the last ferry out. We rushed, getting there with a minute to spare. The workers eyed Niall and me closely because we couldn’t stop joking with each other. It felt like all we needed to do to be this way with each other was to leave and go to a more accepting place. I knew I always loved the city and maybe that was the reason. But if I hadn’t gone to the country, I would have never met Niall. So some change is good, but the original is always a better place to be.

I had to think about it for a while where the burger place I was talking about was. I knew it wasn’t far from the ferry because my mom and I would have to go more into the city to get to it. Niall laughed at me because he could have easily found the place on his GPS, but I insisted that I knew where to go.

Needless to say, my memory failed me and we had to use the GPS.
