The Baba Yaga (John Wick X Black Lagoon)

Chapter One - Hiring The Baba Yaga

Deep in Roanapur at one of the hideouts of Hotel Moscow, Balalaika is overlooking some files regarding a new crime boss rising through the criminal underworld. As she does so, her second in command Boris enters the office.

Boris: Apologies for the interruptions, but we have a guest. 

Balalaika: Send him in Sgt.

Boris: Yes sir! 

Boris exits the office. Moments later, he reenters the room with the assassin known as John Wick. She nods to Boris and he exits the office, leaving Balalaika alone with the assassin.

Balalaika: Welcome to Roanapur Mr. Wick. We've been expecting you.

Wick: The pleasure is all mine. Winston tells me that you have a job for me.

Balalaika: Right you are Mr. Wick. There is a new crime lord on the rise in Roanapur. Nothing is known about his except a name: Mr. X. His criminal organization threatens the interests of Hotel Moscow. I want Mr. X dead and his organization in ruins. We can pay handsomely for your services. 

John Wick took a moment to think on the job offered by Balalaika. This seemed like a normal job to Wick. He has taken several assassination jobs in his career as a hired assassin. The job was just another day at the office. 

Wick: What can I expect from this job?

Balalaika: Nothing short of a gang war. Mr. X runs his organization like a military force. Hotel Moscow has had several run ins with Mr. X's organization. Let's just say the body count was high on both ends. Normally I would try to make a deal, but he crossed the line when he killed my men! I'd kill the bastard myself, but nobody knows where Mr. X hides or even what he looks like. 

Wick: I see....

Balalaika: We will give you all the weapons you need. Pistols, assault rifles, explosives, anything you need for this job. So now Mr. Wick, will you take the job? 

John Wick took a moment to think about the job. The coin was good and the mission straightforward. He lets out a sigh. 

Wick: Consider the job taken Balalaika. Mr. X will be dead and his organization will trouble Hotel Moscow no more. 

Upon hearing this, Balalaika smiles as she hands John Wick a file. The file showed various locations of suspected bases of operations for Mr. X's organization. He scans through the file and puts it down. 

Wick: Will there be anything else?

Balalaika: You will not be working alone. You'll be aided by an interesting group of individuals calling themselves the Lagoon Company. 

Wick: I've dealt with my share of interesting individuals. As long as they don't get in my way, we shouldn't have a problem. 

Balalaika: Then we're in agreement. Follow me.

Balalaika then led John Wick out of the building and into a limousine. 

Limousine Driver: Where to ma'am?

Balalaika: To the warehouse. 

The limousine driver then drives Balalaika and Wick to the warehouse. Once they reach there, Balalaika and Wick exit the car and enter the warehouse. She then grabs a crowbar and opens one of the crates, revealing a cache of weapons. 

Balalaika: Take as many as you need necessary Mr. Wick. It is my gift to you on behalf of Hotel Moscow. 

Wick: You're far too kind Balalaika.

Balalaika: I'll be waiting outside when your finished. 

When Balalaika exits the warehouse, John Wick pulls out an empty duffel bag from his suit coat and begins gathering various weapons. From pistols to assault rifles, he puts them all in the duffel bag along. After gathering the weapons, he gathers several ammunition magazines for all the guns. When he finishes gathering his weapons, Wick exits the warehouse carrying the duffel bag now full of weapons. 

Balalaika: I trust we have what you needed.

Wick: All and more. 

Balalaika: Good. We wouldn't want the infamous Baba Yaga to be under equipped for the job. 

Wick: Will that be all?

Balalaika: You'll be able to find the Lagoon Company hanging out at a bar called the Yellow Flag.

Wick: Thank you Balalaika. I'll return when the job is done.

Wick then travels to the Yellow Flag. When he enters, he walks up to the bar where the owner of the bar named Bao approaches him.

Bao: What can I get you today sir?

Wick: Whiskey.

As Bao prepared the whiskey, John Wick looked around the room to see a room full of drunkards including a loud mouthed woman. 

Bao: And here is you whiskey. Enjoy!

Wick takes the glass and begins drinking. As he drank, he was approached by a large African American man. 

Wick: Can I help you sir?

Dutch: The name's Dutch. I'm with the Lagoon Company. Balalaika told us you'd show up.

Wick: John Wick. A pleasure to meet you.

Wick and Dutch shook hands. As they did, the loud mouthed woman he spotted earlier approached the two.

Woman: Hey Dutch! Is this fucker the guy we're waiting for?!

Dutch: Yeah Revy. This is the guy Balalaika hired.

Revy: Rock! Benny! Get your fucking asses up here! 

As Revy called out the names, Rock and Benny soon walked to the bar.

Benny: So you must be the famous John Wick. Never thought I'd work with the Baba Yaga!

Rock: Baba Yaga?

Revy: It means Boogeyman you dipshit! 

Benny: I'll go get the car ready. 

Wick takes a final sip of his whiskey and puts the bottle down. He then takes some money out of his pocket and places it on the counter to pay for his drink. Wick then leaves the Yellow Flag with the Lagoon Company to begin his mission from Hotel Moscow to hunt down and kill Mr. X.
