After killing Mr. X, John Wick returns to the hideout of Hotel Moscow to report his success to Balalaika. When the two meet up, John is straight to business.
Wick: Mr. X won't be bothering your organization any longer.
Balalaika: Word has already spread about the death of Mr. X. All gangs who sided with him have already gone into hiding out of fear of retribution. But rest assured that they'll be dealt appropriately.
Wick: I wish you luck on those endeavors.
Balalaika: I've taken the liberty of transferring your payment to the account provided. I also added a little bonus for the efficiently in which you did it.
Wick: You are far too kind.
Wick and Balalaika then shook hands and concluded their business. Wick then traveled to the harbor. As he waited for the next boat, Roberta greets him.
Roberta: Did you think you could leave without saying goodbye?
Wick: I thought our dance was our goodbye.
Roberta: You and I both know that a dance of death is no way to say goodbye. But perhaps a final dance would be appropriate before you leave.
Wick: I would be honored Rosarita.
Hearing John call her by her real name made her desire John even more. Soon enough, Wick and Roberta began slow dancing to the sound of the night. In a brief moment, Wick and Roberta were not the cold killers they are. They were people with feelings and emotions. Roberta then embraced John in a passionate kiss in which he accepts.
Roberta: Oh John, you always were the perfect man. In another life, we could've lived as one.
Wick: Perhaps. But fate has played it's hand.
When the ship arrived, Roberta offered one final goodbye to the Baba Yaga.
Roberta: Give Winston my regards.
Wick: I will. Till next time Rosarita.
Wick then boards the boat and begins the long travel back home. As the ship exits the harbor, Roberta looks on the boat with longing in her eyes.
Roberta: Till next time John Wick.....
After a long journey, Wick finally arrives in New York. Immediately, Wick makes his way to the Continental Hotel where he is greeted by Charon.
Charon: Good evening Mr. Wick. How was your trip to Roanapur?
Wick: A pleasant experience. I ran into an old friend.
Charon: How delightful to hear! Will your stay be the usual?
Wick: Yes.
Charon: Good. Your room is ready when your are. Enjoy your stay Mr. Wick.
Wick begins walking to the elevator to his room in the Continental. Before he does, Charon stops him.
Charon: Before I forget, Winston wished to speak with you about the developments in Roanapur. He seemed very eager to speak with you. I hope you don't mind.
Wick: Not at all. Have him meet me in my room. It's been a long trip.
Charon: I shall inform him immediately.
Wick nods to Charon as he enters the elevator. He then travels to his hotel room. Once he arrives, he takes a moment to relax. After a moment, Winston appears.
Wick: Winston.
Winston: Jonathan my boy! I heard about what happened in Roanapur with that Mr. X character. Were the rumors I heard true?
Wick: You tell me.
Wick then tosses Winston Mr. X's pocket watch. Upon inspecting the watch closely, Winston becomes intrigued.
Winston: So the mysterious Mr. X was Eric Xavier. A promising young man with a bright future. A man who flew too close to the sun as poor Icarus did. A shame really, but he broke the rules. And there are dire consequences for those who break the rules.
Wick: Indeed.
Winston: I must say Jonathan, I'm impressed. Not only did you take down the mysterious Mr. X, but you also fulfiled the contract of an indivudual listed as Excommunicado. You've been a busy man.
Wick: I had a job and I was obligated to complete it.
Winston was deeply impressed by Wick's work and was even more impressed with the way he conducted himself.
Winston: When I heard that an Excommunicado was executed by your hand, I took the liberty of transferring the appropriate reward to your personal account. I hope you don't mind.
Wick: Not at all Winston.
Winston: Anything else of interest happen in Roanapur? I hear nothing but....wonderful things.
Upon hearing Winston's question, Wick immediately thinks of his tender reunion with Roberta.
Wick: I ran into an old friend. Rosarita Cisneros.
When Wick said her name, Winston immediately recognizes.
Winston: The Bloodhound of Florencia? I remember her. An exceptional young woman with exceptional skill. How was she Jonathan.
Wick: She was fine. She still can dance.
Winston: I have no doubt about that. She was probably the best dancer in the Continental.
Wick: She sends her regards.
Winston: How polite of her. I always said that she is always welcome to the Continental whenever she chooses.
Wick: It is unlikely for her to return. She's loyal to the Lovelace Family. If there's anything that she values more than anything, it's loyalty.
Winston: Perhaps your right Jonathon, but anything can happen in this business. After all, Mr. X was Eric Xavier.
Wick: Will that be all Winston?
Winston: I simply needed to clear up any confusion for the High Table. I'm sure they'll be most pleased with your work.
Winston then exited Wick's room. When Winston left the room, Wick reflected on his job in Roanapur. While he enjoyed a tender reunion with Roberta, the job as a whole seemed like another day at the office. For the Baba Yaga, all that was left was the next job until the final job awaited.
