One Month Later,
The private beach was buzzing with laughter as Arhaam and Zyaan ran along the shoreline, splashing each other with water, while Fab 5 lounged on the sand, drinks in hand, teasing the kids and watching them play.
Manik’s eyes, however, were fixed on Nandini. The way the sunlight hit her wet hair, the curve of her shoulders, and the mischievous glint in her eyes made him lose track of everything else.
Nandini felt his gaze and turned, smiling knowingly. “What? Can’t take your eyes off me, Mr. Malhotra?”
Manik smirked, walking toward her, each step deliberate, making her pulse race. “Maybe I just want to remind everyone… that she’s mine,” he said under his breath, loud enough for only her to hear.
Before Nandini could respond, he scooped her up lightly, causing her to laugh. The Fab 5 and the kids froze, watching the scene unfold in disbelief.
“What the—Manik!” Cabir shouted, half-laughing, half-protesting.
Aliya and Dhruv were smirking, while Mukti’s jaw dropped. “Is he serious?” she whispered.
Manik didn’t answer. He carried Nandini a few steps and gently set her down on his lap right on the sand, facing him. Her legs rested across his, their bodies close. The moment their skin touched, a spark ran through both of them—a heat, an electricity, a reminder of the intimacy they once shared.
Nandini’s breath hitched slightly, but she didn’t move away. Instead, she placed her hands lightly on his shoulders, feeling the warmth of his body. Manik’s hands rested on her waist, holding her gently yet possessively.
“Everyone’s watching,” she whispered, cheeks flushed, a mixture of embarrassment and thrill.
“Good,” he murmured, leaning closer, his forehead brushing hers. “Let them see. Let them see that no one can come between us—not even time, not even mistakes.”
Arhaam and Zyaan, oblivious to the tension, were too busy building sandcastles, while Fab 5 exchanged knowing glances, a mix of amusement and shock. Cabir nudged Manik, whispering, “You’re going way too far in front of everyone, bro!”
Manik smirked but didn’t release Nandini. “I’m not going anywhere,” he said softly, letting her feel the steady heat of his body against hers. Every brush of his hands on her waist, every shift as she settled on his lap, sent shivers down her spine.
Nandini’s mind raced, memories flooding back—late nights, shared secrets, stolen kisses, and the ache of separation. And now, here he was, close enough that she could feel his heartbeat through his chest, his warmth against her skin.
“You know…” she whispered, tilting her head back slightly to look up at him, “I don’t think anyone else has ever made me feel like this.”
Manik smiled, leaning down to brush a strand of wet hair from her face, letting his lips hover close to hers. “I never stopped, Nandini. I never stopped thinking about you… about us.”
The gentle sea breeze mingled with the salty smell of the ocean and the heat radiating between them. Their closeness was undeniable, and for a moment, the rest of the world faded—the laughter, the waves, even the teasing Fab 5—everything except the brush of their skin and the intensity of their gaze.
Nandini’s hands moved slightly, resting over his chest, feeling the strong, steady beat of his heart. Manik leaned closer, letting his lips graze her temple softly, sending shivers down her spine.
