it was a few minutes before midnight when jeongin was trying to close the dorm room's door without creaking. quiet enough to not wake a very tired seungmin up.
he succeeded with closing the door with minimum sound, leaning on the door as his nerves finally calmed down.
he closed his eyes, placing his hand on his chest as he breathed in and out, exaggerating his reactions.
"boo!" jeongin flinched at the try to startle him.
maybe coffee before leaving was a bad idea.
hyunjin giggled at the boy, helping him up as he was satisfied with the way he startled the boy.
"gosh!" jeongin hit the older's arm, "that scared me!"
"it was cute."
"no it w– it was what?"
hyunjin giggled again, loving the way he made the younger male flustered. "nothing, let's go."
the two boys got along fast. despite jeongin claiming he was straight and trying hard enough to hate hyunjin, he failed and made a friend.
it was just after they got close that they decided to do late night strolls, sometimes buying foods and going up the rooftop of a certain café that park jisung, hyunjin's friend, worked at.
that night was their third. jeongin actually felt a little sick but he couldn't bring himself to cancel their plans.
"are you okay? you seem pale but your cheeks are flushed. are you sick?" hyunjin worriedly asked. he checked jeongin's temperature and he widened his eyes.
"oh! you're hot!" hyunjin said, but realized what he said and hit his face multiple times. "i mean- warm."
jeongin chuckled, "i'm fine. it's not that bad."
"it is bad, innie! winter is even starting and you're wearing this thin polo shirt!" hyunjin scolded. the older took his thick jacket and put it on jeongin.
"but- how about you?" jeongin suddenly frowned, thinking of how hyunjin felt in the cold.
"i'm fine like this. i still have this hoodie and it's pretty thick." hyunjin smiled so jeongin wouldn't worry.
"o-okay then."
you may say that the two boys got attached way too way too quickly. but they didn't feel that.
maybe their little secret crushes did the job.
jeongin looked up on hyunjin while the older was just looking around as they went back to the university.
the boy was the definition of pretty. his thick pretty pink lips. his cute eye mole. his lip piercing that seemed very hot to jeongin. his pretty eyelashes that batted up and down.
not to mention, his great personality. he was kind. he was approachable. he was someone you could vent out to without judgements.
now maybe jeongin was the only one to be attached way too much.
hyunjin seemed like that to everyone.
he was too nice to find any difference in the way he acted to people.
he couldn't figure out why he was like that afyer only knowing hyunjin in a span of two weeks. he felt dumb and hopeless.
but staring at hyunjin was something that he was regretting and loving at the same time.
he didn't know if liking hyunjin was exactly something he wanted or he'd dread.
hyunjin looked at jeongin, jeongin who almost bumped on a pole if he hadn't stopped staring at hyunjin. jeongin who was pulled back by hyunjin so that he wouldn't face a hard hit with a metal pole.
that was jeongin.
whipped.
