Severus examined the boy in front of him, the information he had just received still sinking in. He honestly didn't believe either of them had it in themselves to say those things to each other! And well if he's being completely honest with himself, it was quite frank that there had to have been something going on between the two. The constant stares in the classroom, always trying to sit closet to each other without making things obvious, as well as the fact that Severus had seen Draco leave moments after Hermione had at the time of the yule ball.

Getting some fresh air my ass. He thought to himself.

"That's just how it all began. And here we are now." Draco said. He leaned back in his chair and tilted his head at the man in front of him. "You never bring up Lily, Severus. Why is that?"

Silence filled the air. Draco had realised the very topic he had just brought up had been a very difficult one for Severus. The room was quiet, Severus had all of his thought leave his mind. He looked down at his feet in front of them, trying to focus on something.

"Sorry Severus, forget I even asked." Draco managed to say. Severus changed his point of focus to look back up at Draco, his darken look from before reappearing on his face. He stared for a second before deciding to get up and head towards the door, he paused before turning the handle.

"I truly loved her, Draco. Don't do what I did and let her go."

And like that, he was gone.

Draco was left alone with his thoughts, taking in what the older male had said, as well as his thoughts from before.

Severus was right, he could never let her go.
