{ The Next Week After The Last Chapter}

As soon as they had breakfast, the Potters were about to apperate when Harry started to get nervous. Lily noticed this and asked him, "Sweetheart, are you okay?" "Mum, you see, I don't want to get attention from people who always mention me being famous because of surviving the killing curse. It always reminds me of what happened to you and Dad. I know it sounds stupid but I hate being famous..." Harry started to cry; Lily hugged him softly and said, "Sweetheart, me and your dad are here with the most amazing son in the world and we love you Harry. No matter what." She broke the hug and the family apperated to Diagon Alley.

{{In Diagon Alley}}

The Potters along with Sirius and Remus were at Diagon Alley to get some school supplies for Lexie as she was starting her 1st year at Hogwarts. Harry also needed some school supplies to replace his old books. Harry walked away from his parents and went along with Remus and Sirius. Whilst they were gone, James and Lily went to buy a wand for Lexie. Suddenly, they (Harry, Sirius and Remus) saw a girl with red hair who was walking with her family. She saw them and said, "Mummy! Daddy! I can see Harry and Sirius with Remus!" Mr and Mrs Weasley went towards Remus, Harry and Lexie along with the kids who were Percy, Fred and George, Ron and Ginny and by the time they got there, James, Lily and Lexie were back with a new wand. "Speaking of wands, come on Ginny, we're going to get your wand," Mrs Weasley said. "Thanks to James and Lily, we have enough money," Mr Weasley said as he walked away with Ginny. "Harry!" He heard a girl say his name; it turned out to be Hermione Granger who came to them and hugged him. She pulled away from the hug and hugged Ron; after a while, she broke the hug just as Mrs Weasley and Ginny came back with a wand needed for her. "Mum! Look!" Fred and George said. "Gilderoy Lockhart!" The families turned around and saw the wizard in Flourish and Blotts. James rolled his eyes at him; Harry noticed this and asked, "Dad? You know him?" Seeing James not wanting to talk, Remus said, "Yeah, we do. 4 years younger than us. I heard him to be an attention-seeking Ravenclaw who is just plain lazy. He actually could've been a great wizard if he put in a lot of effort. More good-looking than me though." From this description, Harry immediately disliked Lockhart. He saw Lexie gazing at him and scoffed. "Are you serious?!" She cut off her gaze and said, "I'm Alexia." She pointed at Sirius. "That is Sirius." Sirius rolled his eyes and said, "This dude is the wizard that ever girl, in the Wizarding world fancies. Hell even Molly fancies him a little. So does Lexie." This hurt Harry a lot more because the thought of Ginny fancying the guy who he disliked, was the most unpleasant thing he'd ever thought.

"Out of the way, there," Lockhart snarled at Ron as he moved back to get a better shot. "This is for the Daily Prophet." "Big deal," Ron said, scowling. Lockhart heard Ron and looked everywhere; he saw the Potters and saw Harry, who was holding Ginny's hand. "It can't be Harry Potter?" Lockhart said, positively and loudly. The (really annoying) photographer grabbed Harry (causing him and Ginny to stop holding hands), dragging him towards Lockhart, who dragged Harry against himself and took a picture. "Nice big smile, Harry," said Lockhart, grinning through his gleaming teeth. "Together, you and I are worth the front page." When he finally let go of him, Harry was about to move back to his family but Lockhart threw his arms around his shoulders and clamped him tightly to his side. "Ladies and gentlemen," he said loudly, waving for quiet. "What an extraordinary moment this is! The perfect moment for me to make a little announcement I've been sitting on for some time! When young Harry here stepped into Flourish and Blotts today, he only wanted to buy my autobiography- which I shall be happy to present him now, free of charge-" the crowd clapped. Apart from James, Lily, Sirius, Remus and, surprisingly, Ginny; all of them rolled their eyes, "-he had no idea," Lockhart continued, giving Harry a little shake that made his glasses slip to the end of his nose, "that he would shortly be getting much, much more than my book, Magical Me. He and his school fellows will, in fact, be getting the real, magical me. Yes ladies and gentlemen, I have great pleasure and pride in announcing that, this September, I will be taking the post of Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry!" The crowd cheered and clapped; Harry found himself being presented with the entire works of Gilderoy Lockhart. Staggering slightly under their weight, he managed to make his way out of the limelight to the edge of the room where Ginny was standing next to her new cauldron. "Harry? Are you okay?" Ginny asked. "I don't want these; you can have them," Harry mumbled, tipping the books into the cauldron. "But Harry these are yours-" Harry smiled at her. "I can buy my own. It's okay." Ginny blushed and smiled softly, saying, "Thanks Harry," And hugged him. He hugged her back and smiled at the sweet scent of her hair that goes down a bit passed her shoulders...

"Bet you loved that, didn't you, Potter?" a voice said that broke the hug between the two and that Harry had no trouble recognising. He straightened up and found himself face to face with Draco Malfoy, who was wearing his usual sneer. "Famous Harry Potter," said Malfoy. "Can't even go to a bookshop without making the front page." "Leave him alone! He didn't want all that!" Ginny said, in Harry's defence. "In fact, it wasn't even his fault that he's famous!" "Potter, you've gotten yourself a girlfriend!" Malfoy sneered, causing Ginny to turn even more redder than her hair. At this very moment, James and Lily, Weasleys children, Sirius, Remus, Ron, Hermione and Lexie came forward from buying stacks of Lockhart's books. "Oh, it's you," Ron said, looking at Malfoy as if he were something unpleasant on the sole of his shoe. "Bet you're surprised to see Harry here, eh?" "Not as surprised I am surprised to see you in a shop, Weasley," retorted Malfoy. "I suppose your parents will go hungry for a month to pay for that lot." Ron went as red as Ginny. He dropped his books into the cauldron, too, and started towards Malfoy, but Harry and Hermione grabbed the back of his jacket. "Ron!" said Mr Weasley, struggling over with with Fred and George. "What are you doing? It's mad in here, let's go outside." "Well, well, well- Arthur Weasley." It was Lucius Malfoy. He stood with his hand on Draco's shoulder, sneering in just the same way. "James Potter, what an unpleasant surprise to see you and your filthy mudblood wife," Lucius sneered at James, who was holding Lily's hand. "Call Lily that one more time and I swear I will kill you!!!" James shot back. "Dad, who's that?" Livy asked. Sirius replied with, "The worst man I've ever met in my life." Lucius reached into Ginny's cauldron and extracted, from amidst the glossy Lockhart books, a sort-of nice quality copy of A Beginner's Guide To Transfiguration. "Since when do you have a good quality book. You finally got payed?" Lucius sneered. Lily, who was quite the whole time, finally interfered in the conversation by saying, "It's non of your damn business. You are way worse than James was when he was younger!" Remus, who was the type of person who doesn't get involved with conflict, said, "Malfoy, I suggest you go." Before he left, Lucius thrusted back Ginny's books back into the cauldron but Harry saw that there was another book that was snuck in. "Here girl-take your book- it's the best your father can give you," he said, with his eyes glittering with malice. He beckoned Draco and they swept from the shop. They said goodbye to the Grangers before they all left.
