It is about the United States supposedly first serial killer, H.H. Holmes. It's very interesting and separates fiction from reality. He wasn't the murder mastermind everyone believes he is now, the murder castle wasn't even a murder castle at all. He was mostly out for financial gain, only four confirmed murders actually being written under his name, four others whom disappeared are assumed and greatly believed to be of his work as well. But really, the 27 people he is believed to have killed were still living during the time of his execution and came to the courthouse to show that they were, in fact, not dead. The media calls him a serial killer but it is most likely he was more like a gangster like Al Capone. He killed a father, whom he was in swindling business with, and three children who knew to much. The father and Holmes were planning to fake the father's death to gain insurance money, but due to Holmes' lack of trust in the man, he chloroformed and burned his body. He lied to his wife and five children that he was alive and hiding away. As such, three children were put to Holmes's and Holmes's wife's care. His wife knowing nothing of watching the broken families's children. He placed then in separate rooms as they moved across the U.S. the children in Holmes' care, one of which knowing her father was dead, became a dangerous burden on Holmes. He first killed the young boy then later the two girls. He tried to kill the wife, the eldest daughter, and the baby but was arrested by then. He wasn't a mastermind, average at best, and he wasn't as dashing as many believed. He was a womanizer and became wildly in debt, swindling his way out of it. The man in this video is not the man you all know from the lore. He was still a horrible and evil man, but not the serial killer everyone sees him as. And it is also NOT likely he was Jack the Ripper. All the murders he committed were not intimately done and he mostly used poison to kill them, unlike Jack the Ripper. Watch the video and learn more about the real H.H. Holmes.
