22. Just try to remember

Your POV

I woke up to the sound of a door closing. When I looked up it wasn't Tord, which for one I was glad for. Tord had forced himself on me many times, leaving me barely full of life. It didn't excite me much anymore to see Tord, he was like a nightmare that hasn't gone away. In fact, it made me sick to even think about the thought of Tord forcing himself on me anytime soon.

The man was the one I saw in the hallway earlier but I didn't care at the time. I was just glad it wasn't Tord. "What do you want?" I inquired. He hesitated a bit. "Hmh?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Well, I want you to try to remember."

"Remember what?" I demanded.

"... Us."

I stared at him in confusion as my mind drifted. Did I know him? Were we a thing? Why can't I remember? So many questions clouded my thoughts that I didn't notice I remembered something.

Flashback

"C'mon y/n. Don't be like that." Tom pouted. "Now come down here."

"No." I laughed while climbing farther across the tree branch.

"Don't make me get Edd, y/n. You know how he's going to react after seeing his sister high up in a tree." Tom threatened.

"He can't do anything about it." Tom pointed at me then at the dirt, meaning to get down. "Oh, so you're scared to climb up and get me yourself? Don't tell me I'm in love with a scaredy-cat Tom." Tom opened his mouth to protest but closed it and groaned softly.

"I'm not a scaredy-cat," he argued, crossing his arms and looking away from me.

"Then get your butt up here." I joked but I saw him grinning at me with a daring, loving look in his eyes. He slowly started to climb up as I climbed up farther, trying to stay one step ahead.

"Now look who's scared," Tom called below me. I scoffed at him and sat on a branch, watching the leaves and branches slap Tom in the face. Honestly, I felt bad for him having to climb up this high. There were a few small cuts but nothing that wouldn't heal.

I could tell Tom was not enjoying this one bit but he did it, to get to me. He cared I guess one would say.

Tom groaned as he sat down next to me on the tree branch. "You know you didn't have to do that Tommy." I joked.

He cupped my face with both of his hands and stared into my e/c eyes. "Yet I did y/n. Cause I love you." I snuggled into his hands as a purr came from me.

"I love you too Tom." I gave him a small passionate kiss before smiling at him.

"What are you guys doing up that high in the tree?!" Edd hollered below. I overlooked Tom's shoulder.

"We just uh... wanted to see the view from up here Edd."

"Whatever you say, sis. Just get down here will you before one of you get hurt."

"Alright."

"Tom," I say softly before wrapping my arms around him.

"Y/n," he replied while hugging me back. I was so happy to see him but... if Tom's my boyfriend and Tord is then... who's my only and forever boyfriend?
