IZZY'S POV
My heart was beating out of my chest as seen as I sat down beside Nathan. The leather seat behind me was cold and stiff. I could tell that not many people have been inside this luxury car before. Before I could even put on my seatbelt, Nathan hit the gas and my body slammed against the back of the chair.
"OUCH! Can you watch it Nathan!"
He let out a laugh. That stupid, annoying, cold laugh. As I struggled to get the seatbelt to click, letting me know of my success, Nathan yet again slammed on the breaks, throwing me forward. This time I decided to ignore him, I mean, he basically kidnapped me.
A pang of nervousness grew in my stomach as I noticed him picking up speed rather quickly. The buildings turned into a blur as Nathan winded down the small town roads. "SLOW DOWN!" I yelled. Yet, Nathan only continued to go faster.
"I only have seven more minutes to try and impress you with my racing skills," he laughed while smirking at me. "I can always slow down if you give me more time to show you the town..."
"In your dreams," I managed to laugh, "You play games Nathan, and I don't want to be a part of them."
"What games do I play," he groaned with a slight tone of anger. I could tell that whatever I said made him mad. He was now gripping the steering wheel, nearly marking the perfectly sculpted leather.
"You are Nathan Wilson... I know you don't want to hear it from me, and I'm sure you already have, but you are the most feared in all of town. I don't know what it is you do exactly, but I've been told that you're bad news since middle school," I sighed, gripping the side of the door in an attempt to ease my nervousness.
"You know nothing about me," he scoffed, releasing his grip from the steering wheel. "I have one place I want to take you to, so follow me once we get there," he grinned.
I rolled my eyes, "It better only take two minutes because your ten are almost up Nathan Wilson!"
He laughed loudly as the car began to slow down.
His laugh was refreshing...
I looked out the tinted window to see a small pond sitting before us. I sighed in relief as I noticed a few people walking around. Although I knew Nathan wouldn't hurt me, the company of others soothed my nervousness.
"C'mon shortie," he yelled from outside of the car.
I quickly opened the door and got up from the seat, managing to hit my head against the low roof. I yelped in pain, "OUCH!"
Nathan could only laugh as I scrambled to stand beside him at the front of his Porsche. The sun was slowly setting over the small pond, making for a beautiful scene. As Nathan leaned against the front hood of the car, I focused on a pair of two swans floating in the tranquil water. Wish I was a swan right now, I thought to myself.
"This is the one place I can go without people knowing who I am. It's refreshing after a long week of work after school." Nathan sighed as he moved his elbows further against the back of the car.
"Yeah, the senior citizen joggers mustn't know of the boy who reigns terror during a majority of nights in the town," I scoffed, lowering myself against the front hood
Nathan groaned, "You're an angry shortie, ya know that right?".
"Why do you call me shortie? I'm literally not even that short," I sighed, actually looking at Nathan for the first time since he picked me up at school.
