Tee slept through the rest of the night. When he woke up Kimmon was nowhere to be seen. He got up, took a long shower and dressed in the clothes he wore when he came here and let Oh escort him back to the hotel.
While they flew back he wanted to ask Oh where Kimmon was but he refrained from doing so.
It's over.
The deal was a deal.
One million dollars and one night. Like Tae and him agreed, Tee decided to forget that, that night ever happened.
When he reached the hotel suite, he found Tae slumped on the floor. He looked so pathetic. Shirt unbuttoned, face haggard hair rumpled. It brought tears to Tee's eyes. It's over, yet he couldn't bear to see Tae like that.
Tae's heart skipped a beat. He swallowed staring at his husband. There's nothing different about Tee after one night with another man. But Tae stared and stared. Tee stopped in the middle of the room and watched his husband watching him. He saw the pain in Tae's eyes. But they both agreed on this. They both said that they won't talk about it once the deal was done. They would have to forget that something like this ever happened and move on with their lives.
Then Tee smiled awkwardly, standing in the middle of the room. Tae slowly got up from the carpeted floor and started moving forward. So did Tee. They both walked towards each other. Tee's eyes started filling up when he hugged Tae tightly placing his head in the warm shoulder. Tae hugged him back. His large palm cupped the back of Tee's head, lovingly.
Tee lifted his brimming eyes to stare up at his husband. Tae cupped his face in both his palms. Using his thumbs Tae brushed the teardrops away. Then he stared at Tee's mouth for a few beats. Using the same thumb he wiped Tee's lips, several times as if he could brush the other man's kisses away. As futile as that he dipped his head low to take Tee's mouth in a rough kiss. Tee immediately reciprocated.
"I love you,"
Tee whimpered to Tae's mouth.
"I love you."
Tae grabbed Tee's head and kiss him deeper.
They made love before they head home with one million dollars in their bank account, yet with heavy hearts. Money couldn't ease the pain in both their hearts.
Maybe they made a terrible mistake by taking upon the rich man's proposal.
While they were flying home, Tee told himself that it was all over. Like a dream that vanished in the morning light. And in time, enough time, he would forget everything that happened in Singapore.
