Chapter 8

It was 8am in the morning and apparently someone had forgotten how to behave. The person was knocking on my door like crazy. I didn't think much of it and just opened the door.

"It's 8am what is so important th- oh Mrs. Kim it's you" I bowed down quickly.

"Rose can you come down quickly. There are a few men who want to talk with you" She seemed really nervous.

"Mrs. Kim are you okay you seem-" once again I was interrupted by a manly voice.

"Ryu Rose?" the middle-aged man looked on his notebook.

"Yes?"

"I'm detective Kyun. We need to take you to our Police station. Could you please dress yourself? Oh, and before you ask. Someone filed a complaint against you for fraud"

I just stood there. Shocked. Fraud?

Soon I found myself sitting across Mrs. Park who was talking non-stop but I couldn't follow her.

"Uhm, I don't understand can someone please tell me what's going on?"

"What's going on? You're a scammer!"

"Mrs. Park let us handle the situation please. Shouting around won't help" The angry woman calmed down a bit "So Miss Ryu the problem here is that Mrs. Park bought a painting from you with a worth of 100.000.000 Won and never received saying you scammed her"

I was shaking "Yes she bought a Painting from me but I'm not the one taking care of the delivery" I breathed out "My Work Partner Mr. Han is the one taking care of the finances and delivery"

"You're both Scammers!"

Annoyed the Detective rubbed his temples "Mrs. Park, please!...So you are saying Mr. Han is the one who should be held accountable?"

"Han Chin-Hwa...doesn't sound safe, be careful he could be a scammer"

Seems like everything my Dad warned me about starts coming up. While I thought that everything could only get better, it was only getting worse.

"I'm sure there is a misunderstanding. Check up on him! I have his Gallery's address!"

"I'm sorry to upset you but we already checked. The Gallery is empty and it looks like Mr. Han only rented the building for a short time. We need to settle this now. Miss Ryu are you able to payback Mrs. Park's money?"

Yes. I could pay with the credit card my father gave me. Am I going to do it? No.

"N-No I can't.."

"And I paid 100.000.000 Won? For you?"

This woman was getting on my nerves now! Who are you to judge me!

"I will pay Mrs. Park back every cent!" I sat up, with confidence dominating me "And I will not let me be treated like that. Remember Mrs. Park it's your fault too! You just gave away money like that!"

Both of the persons in front of me were shocked. All eyes in the Police station were fixed on me. Apparently I was too loud. But I didn't shy away.

"I will try my best and pay Mrs. Park's money back. But the real question is will you continue your Investigation Detective Kyun?"

"U-uhh...yes I will of course" He came back to his senses "Looks like you didn't know about anything of this so we will try to find evidence or Mr. Han himself"

After we testified, we were allowed to go.

Bowed I thanked him "Thank you for your service Detective Kyun"
