Chapter 12

Hoseok's POV

We bought everything she needed. The gentleman I am I carried all the bags even though she insisted to help me out. We talked about work and life, nothing important nor interesting. Arriving at the company I helped her till to her dorm.

"If he ever shows up again tell me. I will take care of it"

Avoiding any eye contact she took the bags out of my hands.

"I won't let someone low like him treat my employees like that"

She paused before finally looking up at me "There is nothing you need to do. I'm sure he won't come back anymore. Even if he did I will take care of that"

"Rose-"

"Hoseok it's fine really. I appreciate your help; I really do"

With that said she went in, hurriedly closing the door.

Rose's POV

I didn't think Jihun would show up here in Korea especially in the same city as me. I don't know if I was more worried about Hoseok getting caught or Jihun's stupid behavior. That better doesn't happen again.

I sighed. Not one day would go normal, it always holds little surprises for me.

Thankfully I had some peace for a few weeks. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I had my brake and went down to the cafeteria to eat. As I was to sit down Seojoon came up to me.

"How about I show you a better spot to eat than this boring hall? And make this brake more interesting" he added.

"So there is a secret spot that you kept for yourself and now want to show me? I don't know if you can be trusted Seojoon" I said jokingly.

"I'm just trying to get to know my colleague and If I try some moves you can kick me. Deal?"

He is a humourful guy, adding some fun to our daily work.

"Deal" I said "Be careful though"

I've been working here for a few weeks only but I can't seem to shake the feeling off that I've seen Seojoon somewhere. He seems familiar. How when I just recently met him?

I tried to shake it off and kept following Seojoon till we came to a heavy looking door.

He stood in front of the door like he's going to open a door to Narnia "And this is my secret hangout place, well not really a secret anymore"

The door leads up to stairs and onto the rooftop of the building but it was decorated in a nice way with a lounge which was covered for rainy days, fairy lights, few plants here and there but the view was the best of all. A sunset here would look marvellous.

The rooftop's amazing and he hid that for so long and kept it to himself? "So you've been eating here every day but no one knows?"

He can sense I'm onto something "Well not really...the members know. Being an Idol can be hard sometimes so I showed them this place as a hideout for them of their busy life. We actually decorated it together..."

He does have a thick bond with the boys. But before I could mention it he hurried me to the lounge.

"Let's get to eat now, I'm hungry and I've got some questions for you"

I put my tray with food down while I look up at him waiting for him to say something.

"What?"

"Well you wanted to ask me some questions?" I said questioning.

"Woman sit down and relax" he said laughing "I just want to know more about you..."

"You're confusing Chang Seojoon"

"More like breath-taking don't you think?" he said making a smug face.

I nearly spit out my water to his response. He kept making weirder poses making me laugh.

"I don't know if I can eat when you keep going like that"

"Me neither, I'm being so embarrassing" he stopped looking warmly at me "At least I made you smile"

"What do you mean?"

"Well you don't really smile and look more stressed than relaxed. Is something burdening you?"

I was surprised at Seojoon being so straightforward. He's not wrong either. But I don't want to burden anyone.

"No, I'm fine actually, work just gets stressful sometimes that's all" hoping that Seojoon wouldn't ask much further I continued eating.

"Rose" he puts down his chopsticks "you can trust me"

I try not to show any emotions at all and just eat my food.

"What is a successful woman like you, who's Dad's company is big in the USA, where you also used to work in a higher position doing in Korea working as a mere assistant?"

I'm completely shocked at Seojoons words. How does he know so much about me?

"I was curious so I looked through your application and might have searched online...a little"

I was looking down at my feet sighing. I can't hide it can I? Should I tell him? Seojoon seemed concerned now that he told me about.

"I- I'm sorry if I passed the line I didn't mean to-"

"It's okay" I said reassuring him "I don't think I could hide it myself anymore either"

After a long pause I sat up straight determined that I will tell him everything.

"I can trust you right? It's not that I did anything illegal or wrong I just acted stupid"

He nodded "It's between the two of us, don't worry"

Then I just told him everything; why I came to Korea, about Han Chin-hwa, the fraud...just every detail.

Listening to me very carefully without any judgement which I was surprised about, anyone else would laugh at me.

"I think I could help you with that-"

"No" I said sternly "That's something I need to take care off, but I appreciate your offer. I feel better after telling someone"

"Don't keep these things inside of you. As your colleague and new friend I'm here to listen to you anytime"

Author's POV

Not knowing someone sat on the stairs, eavesdropping to Rose's confession, slightly guilt and heartbreak taking over for doing so. The person regrets taking a last look at the two seeing Seojoon give Rose a comforting hug. Turning around and leaving them both alone. Maybe that's for the best?

Meanwhile Rose and Seojoon soon found themselves working in their offices again, forgetting about the intimate moment they just shared.

Rose could not but think about the hug Seojoon gave her. She didn't knew she needed it for so long and how she slowly forgot the comfort a hug can give.

She continued her work feeling happier and less burdened.

But none of this will end good...
