fourteen. FUNERAL

        FEW DAYS LATER
A few days have passed since the Valentine situation. Things with Valerie and Eggsy we're going well. They decided to move into Harry's house together and with Eggsy's dog, J.B. Roxy and Merlin visit often. Tonight as the four of them were having dinner, Merlin suggested an idea to hold a funeral for Harry. To bid him a proper farewell.

"I'll handle everything. All you have to do is just come." Merlin tells Valerie as he placed a hand on top of hers.

She smiles kindly at him, "that sounds like a good idea, Merlin, but I'd like to help. In any way possible." Valerie offers. She feels that if she doesn't help, she'd feel useless and Harry was like a father to her. She wants to help.

"Okay. I'll text you the information and don't worry, the payment will be cover by Kingsman. Arthur insists." Merlin informs the young girl as she just continued to nod her head, understanding.

"Sound good, Mer." Eggsy chimes.

"The dinner was amazing, V. So delicious. I really appreciate the invite." Roxy speaks as she stands up from her seat, "do you need any help cleaning?" She questions.

"No, no. It's fine, love. Don't worry. Thank you both for coming. It's always a delight." Valerie says while she looked at both Merlin and Roxy. Her voice full of kindness and appreciation.

"We're always here whenever you need us." Merlin squeezes Valerie's hands softly and released it so he can stand up. "I'll text you everything and have you come by if anything." Merlin walks over to kiss her cheek, "goodbye, love. Goodbye, Eggsy." He hugs Eggsy.

Roxy does the same, "I love you." She tells Valerie, hugging her.

"I love you too, Rox." She responds.

The two agents leave, leaving Eggsy and Valerie by themselves.

"Do you want some more wine?" Eggsy suggests with a grin as he waves the wine bottle around.

Valerie chuckles, but nods. "Yes, please, but let's have it in our room. In bed." She winks. Valerie quickly made her way upstairs, knowing the Eggsy was right behind her with two glasses and the wine bottle. I'll clean up the table tomorrow. She says to herself.

Then she heard a glasses shatter, "Ah, fuck." Eggsy curse.

Valerie stops running and turns behind her, "you idiot," she giggles walking towards him. She watched Eggsy place the wine bottle down and the other glass cup down. He rushes up to her and lifts her up in the air, spinning around.

"I'm a what?" He questions as she laughs, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"I said you're an idiot." She says, still laughing, "but you're my idiot." She continues.

He places his hands and both sides of her face, tucking Valerie's hair behind her ears. Getting a clear and beautiful view of her face. He gazed at her beauty. He was so lucky to have someone like her. Eggsy still does not understand how this happened between them, but it just sort of did and he was glad it did. He was so in love with her.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Valerie questions, with a soft chuckle.

"You're just so beautiful, love. I'm eternally grateful to have you by my side." He replies, looking into her gorgeous eyes. Valerie smiles at him and towards his kind words. She leaned forward and kissed him.

"I'm grateful to have you by my side as well."

After the mission, Valerie did mourn over Harry's death. She missed him every single day, but Eggsy was always there to bring her out if that sadness. He always finds some way to brighten her day and she would do the same for him because she knows Eggsy misses him as well. The constant dinners they would have with Roxy and Merlin helped a lot as well. Them being all together, drinking, playing games, and having fun, made each other's day.

"How about we head to bed? Tomorrow I have some plans for us." Eggsy suggests while he traced her jawline with his thumb. She nods in agreement and Eggsy carries her to their shared bedroom.

       DAY OF THE FUNERAL.

Throughout the whole day, since Valerie awoke, Eggsy tried to find any way to show some type of loving affection towards her. It did help her a little, but Valerie honestly had no idea that this funeral would take a major toll on her.

She hasn't shed a tear, but she knew that they would soon come when people bid her well or ask if she was okay. If everything was alright and will she be fine.

She of course took notice towards Eggsy's loving affection and she appreciated it all.

"Babe," A voice calls. Valerie turned her head and saw Eggsy standing at the entrance of the room she was in. She needed a little space from all the people who worried about her. "It's time." He continues. Valerie could already feel the tears building up. She did not want to do this, but she knew that it would be a way for her to let go of Harry. A closure.

Valerie nods and gets up from her seat. Eggsy held his arm out for Valerie to hook arms with him. She did so. She had her head resting on his shoulder as the two walked down the house into the funeral room.

"You okay?" Eggsy quizzes.

Valerie nods, "yeah. I'll be okay." She responds.

The two soon made it outside. There weren't that many people who were there. All of them were close friends from the Kingsman. Merlin decided last minute to keep it small.

Valerie stood beside Harry casket as the minister said the word. A few silent tears fell down Valerie's face, but she tried to not make any sounds from her mouth. She didn't want to attract any attention or have anyone come up to her and hug her.

Her long hair covered a face a little. She had her hands tucked in her long blazer and she just had her eyes glued on the dark brown coffin.

Valerie was hurting, but she knew that she'd be okay. Harry wouldn't want her to be sad.
