Chapter 33: Battle!

~Vega's PoV~

As we arrived, we saw Kabuto trying to hit Tsunade only to be stopped by our smoke ball so we appeared in front of her.

Phew, we arrived in the nick of time. Also I knew that there was something up with him...

"It's been a long time... Jiraya" Orochimaru said.

"You've got an evil look as usual" Jiraya said. Orochimaru smirked.

My attention turned to Naruto.

"Huh?! K-Kabuto?" Naruto indicated Kabuto.

"Naruto..." Kabuto said, with a slight smirk.

"I see... so you know each other?" Jiraya interjected.

"We took the chunin exam together!" Naruto turned to Jiraya. "Why are you here, Kabuto...?" A concerned Naruto asked Kabuto.

"Get out of the way!" Tsunade pushed Jiraya away.

Tsunade tried to kick Kabuto, but he avoided the attack, then they engaged in a taijutsu battle until Kabuto was cornered on a huge rock.

That's before Kabuto stabbed his hand and his blood went on Tsunade, that was seemingly scared of blood.

The Yakushi then punched Tsunade on the face and sent her flying on Shizune, that caught her.

"Tsunade!" I yelled.

"Say! Say! What's happening?! Why is Kabuto fighting with old Tsunade?!"

"You're slow, Naruto... that's why you're no match for Sasuke"

"Take a good look at the headband!" Jiraya said.

"Naruto, you didn't notice before? He's Orochimaru's subordinate!" I told a shocked Naruto.

"That's right... I was a spy from the hidden Sound Village"

I knew it!

"Wh-what are you saying? You're lying, right, Kabuto? During the chunin exam you taught us a lot... and you also saved us" A worried Naruto said.

"Well, I wanted to gather data on you guys. Naruto, there's something I understood by gathering your data. You have no ninja ability, unlike Sasuke!" Naruto's look turned to a scowl and he clenched his fists. "Even with a fierce look, you're just a cute genin who's a fish out of water. Admittedly, I was anticipating the monster inside you... but now, with the legendary sannin before me, you leave something to be desired. You're just a puny zero. So if you meddle... I'll kill you" Kabuto said with an evil smile.

Naruto, angered, dashed towards Kabuto and Jiraya, who tried to stop him fell on his knees. I went to help him to get up. Naruto, meanwhile tried to hit Kabuto, in vain, since he flew over Shizune, who caught him.

Shizune, however threw needles at Kabuto who, since he couldn't dodge, he used his headband to stop them.

He then leaped next to Orochimaru, and told him to remove the bandages on his hand.

He's up to something...!

"At last, the real thing appears... Shizune, Vega, you two take care of... that guy with the glasses!" Me and Shizune turned our attentions to Kabuto, who was eating a plasma pill, that was replenishing his blood since the loss. "I'll take care of Orochimaru! Before that, I'd like to have Tsunade do something about this body"

"The effects of that drug might still last for awhile... there's nothing I can do about it" Shizune told Jiraya.

"What? Really? Geez, I guess it can't be helped. I have no choice but to fight in this condition. Tsunade... rest your body with recovery ninjutsu"

"Then... what about me?" Naruto asked, slightly concerned.

"You guard Tsunade together with that pig"

"What?! I want to fight, too. Even I can-" Naruto got interrupted by Jiraya.

"No, you won't! Like that four-eyed kid said, right? You're on a different level. The opponent is a sannin like myself and the man who killed the third hokage. An eye for an eye... I'm the only one who can fight him. And that four-eyed guy possesses the same level of power as Kakashi"

"Okay, then... shadow clo-"

"Hold it! Don't use the shadow clone jutsu. It'd be utterly pointless. It wouldn't even become much of a diversion... It'd be a waste of chakra with them as opponents. Now then, let's get this thing started"

Kabuto and Jiraya made handsigns to use the summon jutsu.

"Summoning jutsu" they both yelled.

Kabuto summoned two huge snakes while Jiraya... summoned an orange little toad?!

I thought he would summon a huge toad like Kabuto summoned two giant snakes!

I sweatdropped.

"Hi" the toad said.

"Wha-?! What is this?!" Jiraya and Naruto said, looking down at the toad with shocked faces.

Then Naruto tried to use the summoning jutsu, only to be summoning a chubby yellow little toad. I sweatdropped again.

Ugh...

"Hey, Gamatatsu. Why did you come out?" The orange toad said.

"Oh, brother Gamakichi. It's the first time I've been summoned. I-I wonder if I can do my best?" Gamatatsu said.

"Idiot. Get some snacks or something and hide" Gamakichi said.

The two snakes dashed forward and tried to hit us, but we avoided it. Kabuto tried to punch Shizune but I blocked his attack.

Meanwhile Naruto got eaten by the giant snake.

"Naruto!"

Me, Shizune and Tsunade were now on the ground, Shizune and I, fighting Kabuto.

"Ninja art! Poison fog!" Shizune released poisoned fog from her mouth, but Kabuto avoided it and appeared under her.

"Shizune!"

Kabuto then turned to me and we engaged in a small taujutsu battle. He was using his medical ninjutsu to cut off my legs muscles. I then collapsed on the ground.

My attention turned to Tsunade and Kabuto that was approaching her. I heard a scream coming from Tsunade.

"It's unfortunate... here I had respected you as a fellow medical ninja" Kabuto said, annoyed.

"Stop. Stay back!" I heard Tsunade yell, scared.

"Please hang on, Lady Tsunade... the sannin name, which Orochimaru is also called, will cry" Kabuto started kicking Tsunade.

Dang, I can do nothing...

Just when Kabuto was about to punch Tsunade, I saw Naruto that went in front of her and receiving the punch instead.

"Enough already... you jerk!" Naruto yelled at Kabuto, forming the rasengan but not hitting him.

Kabuto used his medical ninjutsu to incapacitate Naruto's leg muscle, making him fall.

He then started kicking him with a talk about the words he said during the chunin exam, but Naruto blocked his foot with his hand.

Kabuto chopped his neck with medical ninjutsu and sent him flying next to Tsunade.

Naruto started talking about him winning that unlucky necklace from her.

"Enough... don't protect me, Naruto. Stop it!"

Naruto made a clone and Kabuto dashed forward to Naruto, with a kunai in his hand but he blocked it, he blocked his hand.

Naruto's clone then made the rasengan and hit Kabuto in his chest, sending him flying against a huge rock.

Naruto then coughed up blood and collapsed to the ground.

"N-Naruto...!"
