Chapter 35: Finally awake!

~Vega's PoV~

We finally arrived in Konoha yesterday. Now I was running with Naruto at the hokage's place searching for Tsunade until he bumped his head with a boy.

Turned out that the boy was non other than Konohamaru, that was holding his head with his hands in pain.

"Who the heck are you?!" He yelled, confused.

"That's my question..." Naruto said holding his nose, he too, in pain.

"Naruto! Vega!"

"Konohamaru?"

"Long time no see!"

"Yeah" I agreed.

"Hey, more importantly, have you seen a big boobed, scary old lady... I mean, young lady?" Naruto questioned looking around.

"I did see her!"

"Where did she go?!/who the heck is she?!" They yelled at each other. I sweatdropped.

"Who is she?" Naruto got a thinking pose, then yelled.

"This boy really is noisy huh?"

"Don't tell me that, I know" I smirked.

"She has to go to the hospital straightaway!"

"Hospital?"

"That lady may not look it, but she's an awesome medical corps ninja! She finally came back to the village to become the hokage, so... what is she taking her sweet time for?!" Naruto said, walking back and forth.

"Hokage..."

"The Fifth hokage" I noticed Konohamaru's eyes widen in shock. "She better do what she promised to do" an annoyed Naruto said.

"You're lying... I don't believe you! It's a lie!" Konohamaru ran off the building and got out.

Naruto went to check on Konohamaru but he was gone.

"He's gone" I said.

Me and Naruto then leaned next to the door that lead outside, until Tsunade and Shizune crossed the door.

"Wait a second! Before you do that, you have something else you need to do, old lady Tsunade!" Naruto yelled.

"What was it?" Tsunade questioned.

"I told you, didn't I?! About Kakashi sensei and Sasuke and Bushy Brows!"

"Oh... right, right"

"Hey, if it isn't Naruto and Vega!" A voice said. It was Shikamaru.

"Hey, Shikamaru!" I waved at him. He had his hands in his pockets.

"Huh? Shikamaru?"

"Why are you two in a place like this?"

"That's my question. Why are you in a place like this?"

"I have no idea why, but my father told me to come along with him"

"What's up with that?"

Tsunade and Shikamaru's dad started talking about the deer and its antlers from an area that makes very good medicine.

"Naruto, Vega, who's that person who acts like a big shot when she's so young?" Shikamaru asked.

"Oh, you don't know? She's the new hokage" Shikamaru made a surprised/shocked face as I said that.

"Yeah, and despite her appearance, she's an old lady in her fifties" Naruto added.

"Yikes" a shocked Shikamaru 'said'.

"All right, to the hospital! See you later Shikamaru. I will show you an awesome new technique that me and Vega learned!"

"Bye, Shikamaru!" I followed Tsunade and Naruto that were heading to the hospital.

~Time skip~

We finally arrived at the hospital, where Tsunade will be healing Sasuke, Kakashi and Rock Lee.

"I'm coming in" Tsunade walked into Sasuke's room.

"Please save Sasuke" I said to Tsunade.

"Ok, leave it to me" Tsunade smiled.

Immediately, Tsunade put her hand on Sasuke's forehead, a green light enveloped her hand. After a while, Sasuke slowly opened his eyes.

"Sasuke!"

"Sasuke! You're awake!"

Slowly, the Uchiha got sit on the hospital bed and I hugged him tightly. I noticed Naruto as he slowly got out of the room.

"So that's you and him, huh?"

"Oh, shut up!"

I remained in the room with Sasuke, while Tsunade, Shizune and Naruto got to visit Kakashi.

"Vega, do you think... I'm weak?" Sasuke said, he was looking down, saddened.

"You're one of the strongest people out there!" I told my best friend.

~Time skip~

Me and Kakashi were heading home, and as we arrived Natsu stopped us.

"Vega, I must tell you something" he said pulling me in the backyard.

"What is it?"

"I must go back to Fairy Tail, the others must be worried about me. I'm here since a month by now"

I sadly hugged Natsu and he returned the hug back. After a minute or so we pulled back, to my disappointment.

I took a scroll and weaved the handsigns.

"Vega, take care!"

"Thanks Natsu-nii, say hi to everyone for me"

"Alright!"

With so, Natsu disappeared in a poof of smoke, after we waved at each other.

~Time skip~

It passed a few days by now and the day after the ceremony for the new hokage, she called me and Shikamaru in.

She congratulated with us for passing the chunin exam and gave us the classic green chunin vest.

Me and Shikamaru exchanged high five and he smiled lazily at me, while I smiled back at him.

I dashed towards Kakashi's home and he congratulated with me for the promotion, so he invited me and Rigel to eat something in a restaurant.

It passed a while and Sasuke was anxious to meet me at the restaurant for dinner, well he invited me.

"Vega, I must tell you something"

He then grabbed me and pulled my face towards his. Slowly our lips met and we were kissing. Soon he pulled off, to my disappointment.

"Would you like to be my girlfriend?"

"Uhh, su-" I was cut off by him.

"I understand, you don't have to if you don't want to" he said looking slightly sad.

"No, I mean yes, I'd like to"

We officially became a couple and chatted for a while, before dashing to my home.

There was Naruto, sitting on the kitchen chair along with Kakashi and my team made me a collective gift for my promotion.

It was a necklace paired with a bracelet. The necklace had the Konoha symbol made of silver attached to it and the bracelet was made of gold with our initials carved on it, while a Konoha symbol was carved on the back.

After we bantered for a bit, Naruto and Sasuke went home and I decided to call my friends on the lacrima.

I called to see if Natsu was fine, and I must say he was indeed. They noticed my huge smile and told them about Sasuke and me becoming a couple. I also told my friends everything about the chunin exam, the rasengan training, my other training in Windrop Taiga, the tailed beast sealed inside of me, the search for Tsunade, the epic gigantic summon battle and my promotion to chunin.
