"Alright seriously Theo where are we going." I ask again for the millionth time.
''Look out the window."
he says making a turn.
I look out the window and see my favorite restaurant, Sterens.
"How did you know!" I said jumping up and down in my seat.
"A little help from Malia ...and your brother."
Fuck?

"My brother, how the hell you get help from my brother?!" I ask as we pull into the parking lot.
"I'll tell you later, for now let's get our food, I heard this place was pretty good"
Theo gets out the car and walks over to my side.
"You know I can open my own door, right." I say as I get out.

"I know just the gentleman in me." He laughs.
We reach inside Sterens I'm automatically greeted by Raulf the chef and co owner. When I moved to Palms Springs, from what we call luck, Sterens decided to move their restaurant here too. Well more so forced, if they didn't move the shop would have had to close it down. Every day I thank God that the only option was Palms Springs I don't know what I would have done if they went somewhere else.

"Burger King!! It's been so long."
I laugh at his welcoming nickname and go around for a hug. When I first came to the Sterens where I used to live, I thought it was a burger king and ever since then that's what they've been calling me. "Uncle S, still working up a storm for this place huh." I say. It looks the same way it did back in Colorado.
"That's your uncle?" Theo asks. "No, but when my parents would take long distance trips he and his wife would take care of me. And then calling him uncle just became a thing." I answer.

"So what can I get you BK you're regular, one person table, right."
I hear someone scoff from the back of the 80's themed restaurant and I already know who it belongs to.
"Steren you know darn well her and that boy are here together.

"Aunt Mavis!"
"Hey baby it's been to long." She says as she pulls me in for a hug.
"I know." I saw regretfully.
"C'mon sit down, lemme take your order." She suggest gesturing towards the seating area.
The diner is 80's themed and with a red and white interior. More so like the one from Riverdale.
"Actually, were here for a pickup." Theo says.
"We Are?"
"You Are?"
Mavis and I say at the same time.
"Got an order for one Theo Blue."  Steren yells.
"That's us." Theo says the walking over to the register.

Just as I was about to follow him Aunt Mavis pulls me back.
"How are you REALLY doing?" She asks sincerely.
"I don't know, better I guess, just taking it day by day." I answer.
"Okay if you need anything, and I mean anything don't hesitate to come on up here and talk to me." She says."
"Okay, I will I promise."
"November, c'mon let's go." Theo says from the door.
"Alright now get outta here, and make sure you're using protection." She says. It takes a while before what she says is registered. But when I does I end up blushing like a mad-man.
"Oh my god!!..bye Auntie Mavis."
"Bye sweetie."
"See you later Unc."
"Bye BK. Come in soon okay."
"Okay!" I yell a walking out the little diner."
"Ready." Theo says holding the door. "Yup lets go." We walk out to my car and of course Theo opens the door for me.
I whisper a quick thank you and hop in.
"So back to school right." I say as he gets in.
"Nope." He says starting the car.
"What do you mean, where are we going now."
"Somewhere fun you'll love it trust me." He says smiling again.
"Okay." I say honestly not wanting this day to end.

I was going to write more but I gotta go soooo ya might add to it later just sum for now.
