I was sitting at the dining table starring at the wall when Alicia's mum walked in with a sad expression on her face.

"Is everything okay?" I asked her.

She sat down in front of me and took a deep breath.

"I'm so sorry Madelyne, but your dad died," she said wincing at what my reaction would be.

"H-he is?" I asked.

She nodded.

I didn't know how to react.

"W-w-where will I go?" I asked.

"The lady on the phone from the hospital said that we will have to put you in an adoption centre, I'm so sorry that I can't adopt you, it's just, I don't want two kids," she said, she started crying.

I didn't say anything, I was to hurt to even cry, let alone say anything.

"Say something please," she said, starring at me.

"Why?" I asked so faintly.

"I'm gonna try find someone to adopt you, someone I know who will love you and take care of you," she said, starring intently at me.

"Who?" I asked, I have no idea why I'm not crying, I feel really calm, not what I expected.

"I don't know, I'll just find someone to take care of you," she said.

Alicia entered the room, with a big smile on her face but as soon as she saw me, her face dropped.

"What happened?" she asked walking over to us.

"Her father died," her mother said with no expression on her face.

"I'm getting put up for adoption," I said.

"Why can't we adopt you?" she asked.

"I'm sorry we can't, I just can't take care of two kids," she said shaking her head.

"Oh," is all she should say.

"Wait! I think I know someone that can adopt you! Hang on can I have you phone mum?" she asked excitedly. I was confused. Who else does she know that might be able to adopt me?

I knew just the person who would want to take her.

My mum handed me her phone and I ran outside and dialled the number.

"Hello?" I heard the voice say.

"Hi, guess what? Ya know how said your mum wanted a daughter?" I asked.

"Yeah, wait, don't tell me you wanna be my sister,"

"Pfft nope it's not me silly it's Madelyne! Her dad died and she doesn't have mother she getting out up for adoption!" I said.

"Hang on, I've got to ask my mum be right back,"

I waited and I could hear someone saying yes and I got excited.

"She said yes, when you wanna like, give us the papers?"

"I'll asked my mum, I'll call you back bye," I said quickly.

"Bye," he said.

I hung up and ran inside.

"You've got yourself a family Madelyne!" I said smiling.

"Really? Who?" she asked, standing up.

"Lets just say, you'll have a mother and a brother," I said.

"Really? But who is it?" she asked.

"Thats for me to know and for you to find out," I said.

"But but bu-" she got cut off by me.

"Buts are for sitting," I said leaving her dumbfounded.

"Mum I found someone, they said they have always wanted a daughter but couldn't have because their husband died," I said.

"Great, who?" she said.

"Cazandra," I said.

"Don't know her, who is she?"

"Well to cut a long story short, she has a son named Blaze,"
