Simon clicked away at his laptop, writing a paper for one of his classes. After becoming a daylighter, he went back to school and continued his studies. After a few more minutes of typing, he decided it was far too quiet in his empty apartment. Jordan was on a roadtrip with Maia, they were going back to their hometown to make amends with Maia's family. Simon got up and retrieved his bluetooth speaker, quickly connecting it to his phone. Music blasted through the small apartment.

"I know you see

Somehow the world will change for me

And be so wonderful"

Simon quickly turned the volume down; he could not have the neighbors knowing he was listening to the iCarly theme song.

"Live life, breathe air

I know somehow we're gonna get there

And feel so wonderful

So wake up the members of my nation, it's your time to be

There's no chance unless you take one and the time to see

The brighter side of every situation, some things are meant to be

So give me your best and leave the rest to me-"

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Simon jumped up and walked to the door, suddenly conscious that he didn't have a shirt on.

The door opened and there stood Simon's favorite person on the world: Jace. Everyone was concerned about whether he was Jace Wayland or Jace Lightwood or Jace Morgenstern or Jace Herondale, but Simon didn't care. Simon just cared that he was his Jace.

Jace walked through the door wordlessly.

"Is Jordan home?" he asked in a low voice that Simon loved.

"No, he and Maia are on a road-"

Jace cut him off by pulling him into a passionate kiss. Simon's hands moved up and down Jace's back, tugging at his thin t-shirt. Jace broke away for just long enough to pull his shirt over his head and toss it aside. They locked lips again and this time, Jace picked Simon up and walked over to the kitchen counter, plopping his boyfriend on the edge.

After a few minutes, Jace broke away again, this time to breathe. Simon often forgot that this was a necessary evil for his boyfriend.

"So what's this all about? I mean, I love you and I'm happy to see you too..."

"I dunno," answered Jace. "I just thought I didn't show you how much I love you enough. By the way, what the HELL are you listening too?"

Simon flushed. "It's the iCarly theme song. I know you weren't raised a mundane, but surely you've watched at least one episode of iCarly."

Jace looked at him like he was speaking Chinese. "What the HELL is iCarly?"

"Ok, nevermind. Anyways, what should we do? I'm free all afternoon."

"Do you want to take a walk through Central Park?" asked Jace.

"I never thought you would be the type to take a romantic walk," mused Simon. "But I'd love to. The only problem is the weather. You came in a t-shirt and it's freezing out there."

"Oh well, it looks like I'll just have to steal- sorry, borrow one of your hoodies."

Simon jumped off the counter and shook his head. "If you keep stealing them, soon you'll run out of hodies to steal."

Jace ignored him and followed his boyfriend into his bedroom.

Simon rummaged around in his closet for a moment and came out with a dark red hoodie that said 'BROOKLYN ACADEMY OF ART' across the front. Clary had given it to him before they got all tangled up in the shadow world.

"Thank you baby." Jace singsonged.

"I love you, dork." answered Simon as he threw on a clean sweater. "Let's go."

"I love you too."

The boys headed off to the park, hand in hand.
