The day I hoped would be a fun hang-out away from school turned into school. My mom was still obviously a bit angry/scared about the night before and lectured us on sticking together and 'stranger danger." She didn't tell anyone what had happened though. Only I knew what she was hinting at. She was agitated. Debating inside. And right after everyone left was when Mom finally decided what would need to happen next.
"Alright Richard, your father will be here in a few minutes to pick you up. I want you to pack everything up and get ready to go back." Mom suddenly told me. I reacted the way you would probably expect I would.
"What!? Why, Mom?! I am fine!" I objected.
"Honey, I am not going to change my mind. You need to go where it is safer. Your father's castle is the safest place for you right now. You can still go to school, but only if accompanied there." Mom stated. I growled and kept myself from punching the door I was right next to. I didn't want to be treated like a baby again! I was SEVENTEEN for crying out loud! My mom ignored my angry groan and simply walked away stiff faced. I had no way of convincing her I was not a little kid anymore. Me getting hurt was all the evidence she needed.
It was an uncomfortably quiet half hour of getting the few things ready I needed to go. I had two of everything anyways. Two beds, two tooth brushes, double the clothes, and two entirely different lives. One as an average schoolboy trying to keep up good grades; and another as the prince of the Nether. It was hard sometimes shifting from one to another. Yet another reason to try and put the family back together. From what I had seen before, there may be hope.
(And that is where I ended this older story. Please let me know if you would like the revised version soon, and keep an eye out for it as well. Seeya! ;D ..)
